https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qadzCB3CLlI So in one of the Nintendo's live stream's from today (Jan 13, 2017) and the localization team was talking about Specials, they said that "no special from Splatoon will be returning, and all specials will be new" as well as the names of specials. "String Ray" - the big laser; it pierces all walls and can be turned, but cannot move physically "Tenta Missles" - the heatseeking missiles; All players within the player's camera, including ones hidden, will be targeted, and 4 missiles will be fired. This is a temp name due to a translation err (according to translation lead). "Splash Down" - the ink explosion. Can only be activated midair, and the player emits a massive ink explosion. "Inkjet" - a jetpack that lasts a few seconds. While in the air, the player can only use secondaries. Theres also a thundercloud special that is unnamed, but moves around.
As for weapon changes: - Chargers can store their charge while swimming - Rollers have two flings now, one for the air that is a thinner, farther throw, and the standard on the ground.
Dualies: - Dualies are dual wielded guns, with fast firing speed - They also have a roll dodge
Also, it's been shown that those inkrails from Splatoon's story mode are present in a map. 1. Will they bring back splatfest in Spatoon 2? 2. Will it be available on Wii U. (Makes no sense to have the first game, and can't play the second one Nintendo). 3. Will they add the cool new weapons and clothes to the first?
