Trivia
- The Traditional Sandals, Traditional Apron, and Traditional Headband make up a unified design that was submitted to, and won, the Squid Fashion Contest held by Japanese magazine Famitsu. As the winner, it was made into gear for Splatoon.
- The wearer's heels come up slightly from the Traditional Sandals as they walk. These are the only shoes in Splatoon for which the model separates in this manner.
- The Traditional Sandals bear a strong resemblance to the Wooden Sandals, a piece of gear from Splatoon 2
