Area 5 from above

Area 5 is the fifth and final area of Octo Valley in Splatoon. Agent 3 unlocks this area after completing all missions in Area 4 and completing The Ravenous Octomaw!, in which access is gained through an Inkrail. It has six standard Kettles and one Boss Kettle, which is initially reached through a Launchpad at the top.

Locations

• Mission #22: Splat-Switch Revolution
  • Location: Upon entering area 5, use the ramp on the left, then go to the entry way. There will be a sponge, expand it, and head to the next platform. There is a Propeller-Lift above the platform. It will take the platform down. Use the platform as an elevator, and find Mission 22.

• Mission #23: Spongy Observatory
  • Location: Starting in the entry of area 5, head to the right, use the entry way. It is blocked by a grate, but it can be entered in squid form. There is a Propeller-Lift, use it and climb the wall where it stops. Get up the grate slope, there is an Inkrail but do not take it. There is a wall behind the Inkrail. Using the wall, there are two dry sponges. Use the sponges, climb up, and find Mission 23.

• Mission #24: Pinwheel Power Plant
  • Location: Take the small ramp on the left, furthest from the entrance of area 5. There is another ramp, but do not take it. Jump across in squid form, and use the Inkrail, which will lead to Mission 24.

• Mission #25: Far-Flung Flooders
  • Location: Starting in the entry of area 5, head to the right, use the entry way. It is blocked by a grate, but swim through in squid form. Get up the grate slope, and climb the wall behind the Inkrail. Use the two sponges to climb a small wall. Use the Inkrail next to the kettle for Mission 23, then use the grate path. At the cube platform, get on the wall, use the sponge, and get onto the Propeller-Lift. There is an Inkrail that can be used as an elevator. In the distance, there is another Propeller-Lift. Activate that Propeller-Lift, which will go towards the player. There is a platform halfway along the Propeller-Lift's path, which has the kettle for Mission 25.

• Mission #26: Octoling Onslaught
  • Location: Take the small ramp on the left, furthest from the entrance of Area 5. There is another ramp, but do not take it. Jump across in squid form, go on the grated path, and use the Gusher. The kettle for Mission 26 will be there.

• Mission #27: Unavoidable Flying Object
  • Location: Take the small ramp on the left, furthest from the entrance of area 5. There is another ramp, use the ramp and the Inkrail above the ramp. Go up the grated path, then go to the next cube platform, and expand two sponges. There will be a platform with two Inkrails, use the right Inkrail, which will lead to the kettle for Mission 27.

• Mission B5: Enter the Octobot King!
  • Location: At the very top of area 5 is a launchpad to Super Jump to a UFO, which is the location of the boss kettle.

Trivia

• Although Enter the Octobot King! is considered part of area 5, the boss kettle to enter is not actually in area 5, but rather floating above the entire map.
