Armor Boot Replicas

The Armor Boot Replicas^(NA) or Armour Boot Replicas^(EU/OC), are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, they are a 3-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). They are only available as a reward from Judd for reaching Level 35. They cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 2, they are a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). They are only available from the Marie amiibo after completing Octo Canyon. They cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 3, they are a 1-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). They are only available from the Marie amiibo. They cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The Armor Boot Replicas are thickly padded boots originally worn as actual Armor in Octo Valley. They are mostly black on the outside, with white interiors. They have thick, light gray soles, and are secured to the wearer's feet by three vivid green straps, each with a white and gray arrow on it. Two of these straps are fastened to the top of the base of the shoe, with the third around the ankle. Just above the heel is a line of subtle dots that change color to match that of the wearer's Ink.

Abilities

The Armor Boot Replicas come with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability. As a 3-star item, the Armor Boot Replicas come with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Armor Boot Replicas come with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Armor Boot Replicas come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Splatoon 3

Abilities

The Armor Boot Replicas come with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Armor Boot Replicas come with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Trivia

• The original Armor Boots used in Octo Valley, would protect the player from being splatted by enemies, but as a replica, this offers no such protection. The same applies to the Null Boots Replica in Splatoon 2.
• Due to them originally being unlocked by other means in Splatoon, The Armor Boot Replics are not made by amiibo, but Cuttlegear, despite being unlocked from the Marie amiibo in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3. This is shared with the rest of the Gear rewarded with the Squid Sisters amiibo.
