Autobots vs. Decepticons was a Splatfest event in Splatoon. It was held for North America only. It was announced on 18 August 2015. The results were given on 31 August 2015.
Details
The event theme was based on the television series Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Participants in the Splatfest chose between two competing factions from the series, the Autobots and the Decepticons.
The full name of each choice was "AUTOBOTS" and "DECEPTICONS". The team name portion of Splatfest titles was "Autobots" and "Decepticons".
The three stages selected for this Splatfest were Port Mackerel, Saltspray Rig, and Flounder Heights.

Trivia
- A few days before the Autobots vs. Decepticons Splatfest, during normal battles, the colors were locked to those of the Splatfest, pink and dark purple, colors that usually are not available.
- This Splatfest was held concurrently with PAX Prime 2015, a gaming convention in Seattle, Washington. Attendees who participated in Splatfest matches at the Nintendo booth had the chance to obtain real-life versions of the Splatfest Tees. These tees were also given away on social media.[2]
