Bamboo Hat

The Bamboo Hat is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for  2,200.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). It can be purchased from Headspace for  2,200 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  4,400.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 2-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). It can be purchased from Naut Couture for  2,200 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for  4,400.

Appearance

The Bamboo Hat is a simple conical hat that changes color to match that of the wearer's ink. The main section is somewhat dark, with brighter areas around the edge and at the top. On the front is the Splatoon version of the Inkline logo in black and white, on the left side is brightly colored calligraphic writing that appears similar to Chinese characters (but could very well mean nothing), and on the back is a small blue tag with a white symbol. Around the chin is a black rope with a gray fastener in the shape of a stylized squid.

Abilities

The Bamboo Hat comes with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Bamboo Hat comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Defense Up and a lower chance of rolling Damage Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Bamboo Hat comes with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Bamboo Hat comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Bomb Defense Up DX and a lower chance of rolling Main Power Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

Splatoon 3

The Bamboo Hat could be seen in the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere.

Abilities

The Bamboo Hat comes with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Bamboo Hat comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Sub Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Intensify Action to fill its secondary ability slots.
