Template:Infobox gear The Banana Basics are shoes in Splatoon. They are produced by the Krak-On brand, come with the main ability Bomb Sniffer, and have a 1-star rarity.

They can be purchased from Shrimp Kicks for 600 cash.

Appearance

The Banana Basics are a pair of lo-top canvas shoes. They are mainly yellow , but fade to a light green towards the heel, hence the name, but the yellow laces remain the same. The toe cap and sole border are white. The patterned soles are light brown and feature the Krak-On logo in the middle of them. The Krak-On logo is featured on a small white tag on the front tongue of the shoe.

Abilities

The Banana Basics come with Bomb Sniffer as a main ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of shoes, prevents the wearer from also having Stealth Jump or Ink Resistance Up. As a 1-star item, the Banana Basics have one additional slot for a secondary ability. Since they are made by the Krak-On brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Swim Speed Up and a lower chance of rolling Defense Up.

• The Banana Basics are the cheapest gear with Bomb Sniffer.
• The Banana Basics originally lacked the green tinge and had black laces instead of yellow, as shown in several screenshots and videos from before Splatoon was finalized.
