Appearance
The Blue Sailor Suit is a dark blue sailor suit, though it lacks the other attire usually worn with one. The collar and ends of the sleeves have thin white stripes, and the back of the collar sports a pair of small white arrows. The tie is a very dark gray, and just next to it on the wearer's chest is some dark gray Inkling text on a light gray background. The left sleeve is adorned with a red squid-like crest toward the shoulder and a pair of bright yellow stripes toward the wrist.

The Blue Sailor Suit comes with Bomb Range Up as the primary ability. As a 3-star item, the Blue Sailor Suit comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Duration Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.

When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 3-star item, the Blue Sailor Suit comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.

As a 2-star item, the Blue Sailor Suit comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.

- The Blue Sailor Suit is the most expensive piece of gear with Bomb Range Up in Splatoon. It is tied with the Gas Mask and Tentacles Helmet for most expensive Forge gear in Splatoon, and only with the Gas Mask in Splatoon 2, before the addition of the Party Hard Hat in Splatoon 3.
