Bomb Sniffer is an ability in Splatoon.
Bomb Sniffer allows players to easily spot opponents' bombs. All bombs within a certain distance appear as skull icons on their screen. These skull icons can be seen through walls. Bomb Sniffer is restricted to shoes as a main ability.
The ability also reduces splash damage taken from File:S Weapon Splat Bomb .png [[]]s, File:S Weapon Suction Bomb .png [[]]s, File:S Weapon Seeker .png [[]]s, and File:S Weapon Ink Mine .png [[]]s by 40%, and reduces damage taken from File:S Weapon Burst Bomb .png [[]]s by 20%.
The ability's effects are always active.
Mutual exclusivity
Since this ability is found as the main ability only on shoes, other abilities found only on shoes are mutually exclusive with it; in other words you cannot have them together. Use
Bomb Sniffer allows safer passage through the map by making it easier to avoid bombs. In the event that a player just barely escapes a bomb, the damage taken from that bomb will be reduced significantly, increasing chances of survival during a File:S Weapon Bomb Rush .png [[]].

The following Gear items have Bomb Sniffer as their main ability. Bomb Sniffer is exclusive to Shoes items and cannot be rolled as a sub-ability.
