Camping Hat

The Camping Hat is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Special Duration Up. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for  800.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Special Power Up. It can be purchased from Headspace for  800 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  2,000.

Appearance

The Camping Hat is a floppy, wide-brimmed hat that changes color to match that of the wearer's ink. The band and edge of the brim are both lighter than the main color, and the band has a small version of the Inkline logo in black and white on the front. The hat is secured to the head with a black rope at the chin, cinched by an arrow-shaped fastener that also matches the wearer's Ink.

Abilities

The Camping Hat comes with Special Duration Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Camping Hat comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Defense Up and a lower chance of rolling Damage Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Camping Hat comes with Special Power Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Camping Hat comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Bomb Defense Up DX and a lower chance of rolling Main Power Up to fill its secondary ability slot.
