Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme is a song in the Splatoon series.

Description

Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme is an ambient, military-themed track, to suit the persona of Cap'n Cuttlefish, with march-like rhythms and a prominent wooded drum pattern. It is only heard during the introduction cutscene when the player first enters Octo Valley and meets Cap'n Cuttlefish. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz.

Remixes and covers

Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme (Octo)

A remix of this track was created for the Octo Expansion with a more complicated sound. Although very similar, there is additional underlying background production, for a deeper, more complex sound. It is only heard after the introduction of the Octo Expansion where Agent 8 meets Cap'n Cuttlefish for the first time during the cutscene in the Abandoned Station, in a similar way to Agent 3's initial encounter. It transitions to Player Editor when the player is asked to customize Agent 8's appearance, but switches back once finished. The theme continues playing until the player enters and travels inside the abandoned train when it gradually fades away and is replaced by the Abandoned Station Theme. In Octotune, it is merged with the Player Editor theme, to create one music file as Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme (Octo) ~ Player Editor.

Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme (Return of the Mammalians)

In Splatoon 3's single-player campaign Return of the Mammalians, a remix of Cap'n Cuttlefish's Theme plays when Cap'n Cuttlefish turns into his dried squid form. It is in a much higher pitch than the other versions of this song and is slightly off-tune.
