The Force ReBoots are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

They are a 0-star item produced by Takoroka and come with the primary ability Special Saver. They can be purchased from Crush Station for Cash 899 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for Cash 2,247.

Appearance

The Force ReBoots are a pair of crude high-top boots. The boot is mostly metallic gray and black apart from a crimson foxing. The bottom part possesses two straps, with the bottom one being black and the upper one gray with a red Takoroka logo on it's tip. The topmost strap is similarly designed. The tongue is black with a gray label cut in half by a black stripe with a red Takoroka logo in an experimental style.

The Force ReBoots were first revealed in the announcement trailer for Splatoon 3 on 17 February 2021. Their name was revealed in the Splatoon 3 Direct.

This piece of gear was available in the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere.

Along with the Cephalo Pods and Tri-Shred Tee, the Force ReBoots are part of the starting outfit for new players.

Abilities

The Force ReBoots come with Special Saver as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 0-star item, the Force ReBoots come with one additional slot for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of them from Crush Station for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since they are made by the Takoroka gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Special Charge Up and a lower chance of rolling Special Power Up to fill their secondary ability slots.

Etymology

Force ReBoot is a play on the term "forced reboot" or "hard reset", a term for deleting all data stored on technological devices. This is hinted at in the gear item's name in Japanese.
