The Fresh Squiffer is a main weapon in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. It is a Classic Squiffer with a different loadout and a dusty red appearance instead of the normal blue.

The Fresh Squiffer was first announced during the Nintendo Direct on 3 March 2016. It is one of eight weapons included in Sheldon's Picks Vol. 1 and was released at 02:00 UTC on 13 April 2016.[1] It comes in a set with Suction Bombs and Kraken.

The Fresh Squiffer was released on 3 April 2019 at 01:00 UTC as part of the 4.6.0 version release.[2]. It comes with Suction Bomb and Inkjet.

- The Fresh Squiffer is a middleweight weapon.
- The matchmaking range is 185. The game's matchmaking system looks at a team's average matchmaking range value, and matches them against a team with a similar average.
- Ink consumption scales from 1.867% to 10.5% depending on the charge level.
- The full-charge ink consumption of 10.5% allows players to fire 9 shots before needing to refill the ink supply.
- This stat can be changed with Ink Saver (Main).
- The Fresh Squiffer can store its charge while submerged in ink.
- A stored charge can be held for up to 1.25 seconds.
- The Fresh Squiffer can only store its charge if the weapon is fully charged.
- The delay between being submerged in ink with a stored charge and being able to fire the charge is 20 frames.
