Green Cardigan

The Green Cardigan is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Recon. It can be purchased from Jelly Fresh for  1,700.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Ye Olde Cloth Shoppe for  1,700 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  3,400.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Man-o'-Wardrobe for  1,700 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for  3,400.

Appearance

The Green Cardigan consists of a forest green cardigan and the light blue button-down shirt worn underneath. The cardigan has dark brown buttons that go left over right and a pair of bright yellow stripes on each sleeve. There are also two small pockets at the belly area, one on either side of the buttons. The cardigan is adorned with a good deal of Inkling text; there is some diagonal yellow lettering outlined in white on the right side of the chest, an arrow-shaped design in black and white with a small symbol similar to the English letter "K" just above the left-hand pocket, and a pair of white symbols just below the right-hand one.

Abilities

The Green Cardigan comes with Recon as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Clothing, prevents the wearer from also having Cold-Blooded, Haunt, or Ninja Squid. As a 2-star item, the Green Cardigan comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Green Cardigan comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 2-star item, the Green Cardigan comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

Splatoon 3

Abilities

The Green Cardigan comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Green Cardigan comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slot.
