Ink Me Up
Ink Me Up is a song performed by the Squid Sisters.
Description
Ink Me Up is an energetic pop song, featuring the two cousins singing over an electronic composition, with a few elements of rock. During battles in Splatoon, Callie and Marie could be heard hyping up a crowd; one of their voice clips played at roughly 1:39. These voice clips are only played during Splatfest battles, but Callie and Marie do hype up the crowd in a similar fashion during their live performances. It was the only battle theme that played during Splatfests in Splatoon, other than Now or Never! during the final minute and a special version of the Calamari Inkantation during the end of the Callie vs. Marie Splatfest. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz after hearing it during a Splatfest, and it is included in Splatune and Splatoon Live in Makuhari -Shiokalive-.
The song returned in Splatoon 2 as a battle track for the first day of Chaos vs. Order. The Squid Sisters chants were heard more often during the song; always playing at 2:35, 1:59, 1:39, and 1:03.

This is also featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It has a chance of playing on Moray Towers, and can also be heard in the Sounds section in the Vault menu.
Lyrics
The booklet included with Splatune gives the official lyrics for Ink Me Up. The lyrics are nonsensical; the Japanese hiragana simply gives the pronunciation.

Other Versions
Ink Me Up (Live)
During live Squid Sisters concerts, an extended version of Ink Me Up is used. Although each performance is different due to the live bands, they retain the same strong structure. They all include parts of the song not found in the original, such as a new guitar riff throughout the song, guitar and keyboard solos, and a section where a modified version of the instrumental plays. Two recordings of this version from Shiokalive 2016 and Shiokalive at Chokaigi 2016 (labelled as 1st and 2nd live versions respectively) can be found in Splatoon Live in Makuhari -Shiokalive-.
During Shiokalive at Cho Party 2016 and Haicalive Kyoto Mix, a shortened version of the live arrangement is performed as part of a medley with City of Color. The first chorus transitions directly to the guitar solo instead of repeating the song's verse. There is also some extra chanting during the keyboard solo. A recording of the Cho Party 2016 performance can be found in Splatoon 2 Live in Makuhari -Tentalive-.

Trivia
- A behind the scenes video was released showing the recording of Ink Me Up. However, the video itself uses the final recording instead of the raw performance.
- Due to the end of Splatfests in Splatoon, it is now impossible to listen to Ink Me Up in Squid Beatz if the player has not participated in any Splatfests. Although one can still listen to the song through the amiibo performances, this still, however, does not unlock it in Squid Beatz.
- There is a sticker of this song's logo on Marina's laptop. The physical disc of the album Splatoon 2 Live in Makuhari -Tentalive-, which was designed after the laptop, also has this logo on it.
