Template:InfoboxMission/OctoExpansion Ink from Above Station is a mission in the Octo Expansion.

Gameplay

Agent 8 must reach the end of the stage while avoiding a Missile Octocopter's S2 Weapon Special Tenta Missiles.png Tenta Missiles. Partway through, Agent 8 can pick up the S2 Weapon Main Glooga Dualies.png Glooga Dualies and S2 Weapon Sub Splat Bomb.png Splat Bombs.

The first area has Agent 8 using the Tenta Missiles to destroy a few crates. Once these have been destroyed, they can grab a key to unlock a vault containing a launchpad.

The second checkpoint has the player using the Tenta Missiles to hit an Ink Switch. This will move a platform to where Agent 8 is standing. They then have to dodge missiles until the moving platform gets to another, larger area. Here, they use the Missiles to shrink a Sponge Block. Under this is some grates that the player can fall through where the Glooga Dualies are found. Then, they can activate a ride rail to get back to the main area. Agent 8 can get to the next part with some more sponges.

The third area is a large group of sponges, which make up the floor. The player must be careful not to have the sponges be shrunk by Missiles while they are on them. Here, they can also pick up Splat Bombs. To get to the next section, they have to climb up a lot of sponges. Once again, Agent 8 must be careful not to have the sponges shrink while they are swimming up them.

The final section involves moving a large platform with more Ink Switches. Once they get it to the end, they can swim up a wall and get to the area where the Missile Octocopter is. Once this is defeated, a launchpad will appear, leading them to the goal.

Take care to avoid the missiles fired by the Missile Octocopter.
If you're under a roof, you should be safe.
And please watch your step.

Sponges! Sponges I say!
Grab that weapon and fire fire fire!
Good!
Missile Octocopter spotted! Stand firm!
Splendid!

Marina's Quotes

Missile Octocopter! Careful - those things can fire on you from a long way off.
Find the key!
Missiles won't be able to hit you if you've got a roof over your head!
This is not a good spot when missiles are being shot at you...
Just a bit more!

Or "missile copter," for short.
Cha-ching! Now where's the vault?
For eels? It can spot you from that far away?!
Oho? Something's here!
From here, you can see there's more ground down there!
Nice! NICE!

Trivia

  • The title is a play on the phrase "death from above" and the subtitles is a reference to the children's game Heads Up, Seven Up.
  • The Japanese name of this station is a pun on "Ko-akuma kei" ((a girl) like a sweet devil).
  • This stage has Nintendo GameCube systems, controllers, and disks floating around in the background.
    • A05 One-Shot Station has GameCube controllers floating in the background as well.
    • The Dutch title of this station, "Mag het een kuubje meer zijn?", alludes to these. "Kuub" is pronounced almost the same as "cube", as in "GameCube".

  • Ink From Above Station is the only mission in the Octo Expansion to use the S2 Weapon Main Glooga Dualies.png Glooga Dualies and the only non-escape mission to have a canned sub weapon.
