Polls are select questions that are shown on the main page. These should be questions that are related to the Splatoon series and can be answered by anyone.

Moderation

All members of the Poll Selection Committee will moderate the votes on the poll selection. For each month there will be a person in charge (Judd). Their role involves tie-breaking, swapping the previous poll with the winning poll, and archiving the previous poll. Polls are swapped on the first day of every month. Members of the poll selection committee must be informed on how to do these tasks.

Tasks of Judd

On the beginning of the month:

  1. In-case of a tie, decide which poll should be chosen and comment about the tie-breaking with reasoning as an option.
  2. Archive the current poll to Inkipedia:Polls with its order of the answers and not by most votes. Don't forget submission, date and image.
  3. Make the poll in Strawpoll.me.
  4. Put the newly created poll with fitting height x width, and image with link in Main Page/Poll.
  5. Archive the winning nomination to archives.

Nominations that stayed five voting periods will be removed and archived.

Nomination process

Polls can be proposed in the section below by members of the Poll Selection Committee, up to two pending proposals per member. If a member wants to submit another proposal, but two are already pending selection, they could retract one of their proposals and archive it. If a member re-submits a retracted proposal, voting must start as a blank slate for that proposal.

Proposals can be voted on once by each user. Nominations may stay up for up to five voting periods before they are removed. A poll may not be featured more than once a year.

On the first day of every month, the poll question with the highest difference of those in favor minus those who oppose will be featured. One poll will be featured at any time, comprising of the winner of the previous voting period.

  • The merchandise page has been expanding recently and shows vast items that can be purchased from the Splatoon universe. It will also show some spotlight and might make editors fill the missing merch. It's also possible to ask which merchandise you got but I think there are too many categories with that.         • It would then become one of these polls we've done all the time, which is fine, but not what I was going for. I'm trying to blend in a tactical factor as well, because some hero weapons are significantly better than others. For example I would choose Slosher although my fav is Roller and I main Splatlings.
