Noivern (talk | contribs | logs) As a user who has had experience with previous wikis (and Wikia, too), I feel that this wiki is an excellently-written and active place when it comes to official information on Splatoon. However, the problems with anything related to a wiki is that they are immune to spambots and trolls, people who will do anything for either money, attention or for the sole purpose of ruining a wiki so they can laugh about it, and that's no good. Not to mention, the Hero Mode missions could go with more walkthroughs (even videos are fine), more to Hero Mode enemies, and tips on using weapons would be great for beginners.

I, Noivern, will try to fulfill most of those, and make sure each page gets enough information it needs, and will add information and create pages that will be necessary. Who's with me?

  1. I think that you're an excellent contributor and I know we'll definitely keep you in mind the next time we're in need of an administrator. However, all of the reasons you mentioned for being an admin can be done without any rights whatsoever. We have a bot and 7 admins working on stopping spam, and pages can be expanded by any user. In addition, when checking your contributions, the edit you made 50 edits ago was in October, and you only have around 170 mainspace edits in total. I'm sorry to write this and I appreciate your request, but I hope you continue to edit. I'd like to see you become an admin in the future! -ShrimpPinsig.pngSquidIcon.pngShrimpPinTalk.png 15:11, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

  • You guys seriously upset me! :'( I'm never requesting admin rights on this site again! Noivern (talk) 16:20, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
    • You should have been prepared for criticism when requesting for rights, it's all part of the process. Keep your cool, keep editing and don't overreact. Luke (talk) 16:28, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

You know what? I'm taking a break to keep my cool. Adios. Noivern (talk) 16:32, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

  • Noivern, I've been in your exact position many, many times. I know it's disheartening, but the criticism here really isn't personal, and throwing a fit is the exact opposite of what you want to do. Just hold your head up and keep going. -ShrimpPinsig.pngSquidIcon.pngShrimpPinTalk.png 16:37, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
    • But it's too harsh! Every other user had theirs approved! Why can't I have mine? Gosh, I'm outta here. Just delete this failure. Noivern (talk) 16:39, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
      • Nothing Shrimp said was harsh, and Nyargle and I just agreed. Other users such as Nyargle and Bzeep had their's approved due to their constant history of activity and high-quality edits, whereas you are just back from a slight inactivity break. Luke (talk) 16:41, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
      • Nothing I said was harsh. This is just what you should prepare for when making a request. And no, not all requests have been approved- we've actually had very few requests for adminship, and one of our current admins even got turned down on his first request. Adminship is a big deal, and I think you just need more experience on this wiki before you're ready. You can be disappointed, but please don't broadcast it here- it doesn't help anything. -ShrimpPinsig.pngSquidIcon.pngShrimpPinTalk.png 16:43, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
        • DELETE this. I'm on the verge of a meltdown and I don't need it to increase. Noivern (talk) 16:46, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
