Neo Octoling Boots

The Neo Octoling Boots are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

They are a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Object Shredder. They can be obtained by collecting 3 sets of Mem cakes, speaking to Iso Padre and beating the Octo Expansion. They cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

They have an appearance identical to the Boots worn by enemy Octolings. They're based off the boots from the redesigned outfit of the Octolings in Splatoon 2 rather than the original version. They are a pair of knee high leather boots with a metal sole that angles into a heel. When worn by females, the metal heel is more steep, turning it into high heeled boots, while the male version is more flat. They have 2 straps with a metal buckle each on the side.

Abilities

The Neo Octoling Boots come with Object Shredder as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Shoes, prevents the wearer from also having Drop Roller or Stealth Jump. As a 2-star item, the Neo Octoling Boots come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Trivia

• Unlike some other gear earned in single player, the Neo Octoling boots are not called "replicas". This is shared with the other Neo Octoling clothing, and the original Octoling set from Splatoon. This could possibly mean that they are not replicas, but genuine clothing from the Octolings.
  • It may be the gear that Agent 8 used when in the Octarian army, and Iso Padre has recovered it.
