The Octobrush is a main weapon in Splatoon and Splatoon 2.

The Octobrush is similar to the S Weapon Main Inkbrush.png Inkbrush in appearance and use, but has a slightly wider ink trail and slower movement speed. It spreads more ink with each swing than the Inkbrush, though at a slower rate. It also has increased range, flinging ink much further than the Inkbrush. Three swings will usually splat an enemy.

Each flick of the brush consumes 3.2% of the ink-tank capacity, allowing players to flick 31 times before needing to refill.

The Octobrush returns in Splatoon 2 with the sub S2 Weapon Sub Autobomb.png Autobomb and special S2 Weapon Special Inkjet.png Inkjet. The S2 Weapon Main Herobrush Replica.png Herobrush Replica has the same kit as the Octobrush.

The critial damage mechanic was removed in Splatoon 2, so it will always take three or more hits to splat an opponent.
