Octodiver
Template:InfoboxCharacter The Octodiver is a type of Octarian enemy and a variant of the Octotrooper, Twintacle Octotrooper, and Octohopper.
Description
Octodivers are almost identical to Octotroopers or Twintacle Octotroopers in design, albeit wearing a snorkel. They hide in Octarian ink, and when the player approaches them, they quickly surface from the ink and begin firing. They are able to dive into their own ink when under attack or too far away from their target as a means of defense. Octodivers have multiple variants, with some being based on Octotroopers, some on Twintacle Octotroopers, and (in Splatoon 3) some on Octohoppers; their attacking behaviour is identical to the Octarian they are based on besides their added ability to hide in ink. In Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3, after they dive into their own ink, ink patterns can be seen as where they last submerged.
