Octohurlers are Octarians that appear in Splatoon 2's single-player modes, Octo Canyon and the Octo Expansion.

Description

Octohurlers are large Octarians that have four tentacles that help toss Rolonium. They also wear goggles with green lenses and are always sitting on a small stool with what appear to be tiny Rolonium bundles.

Octohurlers spit Rolonium directly ahead upon spotting the player. This Rolonium can be reflected if it is hit with ink, which instantly splats the Octohurler if it hits it (as well as any other Octarians it hits before breaking). Octohurlers are stationary, but they sometimes appear on Spreaders.

Trivia

  • Octohurlers are similar to Spikes from the Mario series. Both are enemies that spit out a rolling projectile, Spike balls for Spikes, and Rolonium for Octohurlers.
