Template:InfoboxMission/OctoExpansion One-Shot Station is a mission in the Octo Expansion.

Gameplay

Using the three Balloon Fish on moving grates, the player must break all sixty of the crates in a single shot. The player is equipped with either the E-liter 4K or the E-liter 4K Scope. To hit the Balloon Fish and destroy all the crates, the player must shoot slightly before the bottom Balloon Fish reaches the center to make up for the time it takes for the Balloon Fish to explode.

Ooh! Close one.
— After the player failed to bust all the crates with their first attempt.
You should try aiming a bit off-center to account for the delay before they explode.
— After the player failed to bust all the crates with their sixth attempt.

So... you gotta bust all the crates, but you only get one shot? Dang.
It seems like that Balloon Fish at the bottom is the one you want!
— After the player failed to bust all the crates with their third attempt.
I think you gotta make those Balloon Fish pop when they're lined up in the middle...
— After the player failed to bust all the crates with their sixth attempt.

Trivia

  • The title and subtitle are references to the lyrics "You only get one shot / Do not miss your chance to blow" in the song Lose Yourself by Eminem, from the soundtrack of his 2002 movie 8 Mile.
  • Even though the title says "One-Shot Station", it is possible to "cheat" and shoot a second shot if there are still crates falling after the first shot.
  • The orange crates spell out two japanese characters. The top one means "one."
  • The Japanese title of this station is a pun on "Batchi gū" (very good/just right). It was Japanese slang term in the nineties.
  • This stage has Nintendo's NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube controllers floating around in the background.
