Power Egg

Power Eggs are a type of collectible currency in Splatoon's singleplayer Octo Valley, and collectibles in Splatoon 2 's Salmon Run.

In Splatoon

Power Eggs are small, orange orbs that appear similar to fish eggs. They are assumedly Zapfish eggs. They can be found on all Octo Valley missions, usually placed in a way that they show where the player should go to progress. They can collect them by directly touching them or splattering them with ink. When hit with ink or touched, they will fly towards the player and disappear on contact. Although they are often found in the open, they may also be hidden in crates, balloons, or Octarians. Power Eggs can be used to upgrade the Hero Shot, Ink Tank and Splat Bombs, as well as unlock and upgrade the Burst Bomb and Seeker Sub Weapons. The Power Eggs do not have any use in the multiplayer modes.

Upgrades

You can spend power eggs to upgrade your special "Hero" Equipment. Upgrading your gear also changes the colour of the lights on them.

Upgrading the "Hero Shot" increases the rate of fire, while upgrading the Ink Tank increases the capacity, and upgrading the bombs increases their blast radius.

Any upgrades purchased do not affect any of the amiibo challenges.

In Splatoon 2

Power Eggs, retaining their appearance from the original Splatoon, are found in the game's Salmon Run. They can be found by defeating smaller enemies, such as Chum, and appear to be collectible in the same manner as Splatoon.

• A maximum of 9999 Power Eggs can be held at one time in Splatoon.
• 8,100 Power Eggs are required to fully upgrade everything in Splatoon.
