Eureka! We’ve just discovered a breakthrough in squid-observation technology! In Splatoon 2, a new feature called Private Battle Spectator View will allow up to two non-players to spectate a Private Battle. These two people act as camera operators in order capture all the action. This is, of course, in addition to the 8 players who fight in the Private Battle. Outstanding!

Spectator View is a mode in Splatoon 2 that allows two players to spectate a Private Battle by moving the camera.

Description

Spectator View allows two players to spectate the other eight players by moving their camera around the match. The match starts of with an overview of the whole map, and can move and zoom the camera around the map. Each player on one team is assigned a direction on the Directional buttons or the D-Pad and each player on the opposing team is assigned either A,B,X or Y. Pressing on any of the assigned buttons will follow the chosen Players Inkling. Each players assigned button is occasionally displayed above their username, and always displayed on the top HUD. The player can also display a list of all the players playing including Username and their Inklings face, the button they're assigned, the Main Weapon and Abilities.
