Trivia

  • The theme of the Splatfest reflects the large Fox and Tanuki statues found in Inkopolis Plaza.
  • The change in battle multiplier from x2 to x6 in Version 2.2.0 changed the outcome of the second Red Fox vs. Green Tanuki event, as if the original x2 battle multiplier was used, it would have ended in a tie.
  • This was the only Japanese Splatfest to feature Arowana Mall.
  • This was the only Splatfest in Splatoon to be repeated within the same region and within the same game, making it the first rematch of a Splatfest in the series. However, Splatoon 2 went on to repeat three other Japanese Splatfest themes from Splatoon in Japan (Squid vs. Octopus, Mushroom Mountain vs. Bamboo Shoot Village, and Boke vs. Tsukkomi).
