Short Beanie

The Short Beanie is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for  600.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). It can be purchased from Headspace for  600 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  1,500.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 0-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Main). It can be purchased from Naut Couture for  600 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for  1,500.

Appearance

The Short Beanie is a simple knit hat that changes color to look similar to the wearer's Ink color. On the front towards the right side, it has a black label with the Inkline logo in white.

Very dark Ink colors, such as the Dark Blue used in Ranked Battles, can cause the Short Beanie to become a dark gray.

Splatoon

Abilities

The Short Beanie comes with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Short Beanie comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Defense Up and a lower chance of rolling Damage Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Short Beanie comes with Ink Saver (Main) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Short Beanie comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Bomb Defense Up DX and a lower chance of rolling Main Power Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 3

Template:InfoboxGear The Short Beanie is briefly seen in the Splatoon 3 announcement trailer during the pan of Splatsville, with no visible changes to the gear. It was added in Chill Season 2022.
