Skipjack Work Boots

The Skipjack Work Boots are a pair of shoes in Splatoon 3.

They are a 1-star item produced by Rockenberg and come with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). They must first be unlocked through leveling up the Drizzle Season 2022 Catalog to level 41, then they can be purchased from Crush Station for  4,800 from SplatNet 3 Shop for  9,600. They can only be ordered from another player after being unlocked.

Appearance

The Skipjack Work Boots are a pair of work boots with an asymmetrical appearance. They feature various, irregularly painted designs in red, blue, gray and white, with some featuring Rockenberg logo, handwriting or resembling stains of dirt. The right tongue sticks out, while the left is kept in place with neatly tied red laces. The midsole is caramel and the sole is chocolate brown. A barely visible Rockenberg logo is sewn on the tongues.

Abilities

The Skipjack Work Boots comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 1-star item, the Skipjack Work Boots comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Crush Station for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Rockenberg gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Run Speed Up and a lower chance of rolling Swim Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slot.
