O.R.C.A. describing the level

Splitting Crosshairs is the 19th level in Splatoon 3's story mode, Return of the Mammalians.

Description

To reach the goal, the player must break all the target balloons while on ride rails.

Access

On the right of Absorbency and You is the kettle to the level.

Walkthrough

Checkpoint 1

The player has to shoot a couple of target crates and a ride rail will spawn after. Once they jump on it, they have to shoot 2 target crates guarded by Octowashers on the left. The next targets are the same, but they are on the right. After that, another ride rail will spawn and they would be able to jump through two Squid Rings. They have to shoot 3 big target crates on each side. Another ride rail will spawn and there would be a checkpoint next to it.

Checkpoint 2

The player could take a short 3 second break before having to shoot the 2 small and 2 big target crates on the right. If the player shoots them quick, 5 Squid Rings would spawn. Either way, a ride rail would spawn after. The final part is having to deal with 8 big target crates and 1 big orange target crate. Once the player has shot it all, a ride rail would spawn along with 3 Squid Rings, leading the player to the goal.

Translation notes

  1. It's a pun on the saying "à fond la caisse" which means "full speed". In this saying, "caisse" is normally a slang term for "car", but here they make "caisse" plural, meaning they're using its more common definition which is "crate" (referencing the boxes we have to break in this level)
