The Squid-Pattern Waistcoat(NA)[a], or Squid Pattern Waistcoat(EU/OC)[b], is clothing in Splatoon. It is a 1-star item produced by Krak-On and comes with the main ability Special Duration Up.
It can be purchased from Jelly Fresh for 800 cash.
Appearance
The Squid-Pattern Waistcoat consists of a long-sleeved button-down shirt and the red waistcoat worn over it. The long-sleeved shirt is a very pale blue with a black plaid pattern, and the waistcoat has three large dark gray buttons that go left over right. On either side of the buttons is a dark blue and tan design that may be a stylized version of some type of mollusc or crustacean.
Abilities
The Squid-Pattern Waistcoat comes with Special Duration Up as a main ability. As a 1-star item, it also has one slot for a secondary ability. Since it is made by the Krak-On brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Swim Speed Up and a lower chance of rolling Defense Up.
Trivia
- The Squid-Pattern Waistcoat's Japanese name, "Squid Crash Vest" (or イカゴッチンベスト), suggests that the design on the front is supposed to resemble squids crashing into each other. It is unknown why they might be doing this.
