Squid Hairclip
The Squid Hairclip is headgear in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. It is 2-star item produced by [[File:amiibo_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] and comes with the main ability Lua error in Module:Ability at line 29: attempt to concatenate local 'linkText' (a nil value)..
It can only be unlocked as an amiibo reward. It cannot be ordered through Spyke or Murch.
Appearance
The Squid Hairclip is a small barrette with the "S" from the Splatoon logo on it, complete with the gray bubble pattern at the bottom. The only difference from the logo is that it has eyes. Like the rest of the school gear, the hairclip's appearance changes based on the wearer's gender. If worn by a female, the hairclip goes on the left side of her bangs. If worn by a male, it goes on the band used to keep his tentacles up.
Splatoon 2
The Squid Hairclip is available only through use of the first generation 
Inkling Girl (Splatoon) amiibo. The second generation Inkling Girl (Splatoon) amiibo does not unlock this item. The player will receive the Squid Hairclip upon talking to the amiibo.

The Squid Hairclip comes with Lua error in Module:Ability at line 29: attempt to concatenate local 'linkText' (a nil value). as a main ability.
As a 2-star item, it also has two slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the [[File:amiibo_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] brand, all abilities have an equal chance of being rolled.
Splatoon
The School Uniform is available through use of any generation of the Inkling Girl (Splatoon) amiibo.

Unlock
To unlock the Squid Hairclip, the player must play the first set of missions from the Inkling Girl (Splatoon) amiibo:
- 1. Octotrooper Hideout — Catch That Zapfish!
- 2. Lair of the Octoballs — Splat Your Way to the Top!
- 3. Rise of the Octocopters — Leap to Victory!
- Boss 1: Squish, Squash, Smash... The Mighty Octostomp!
The Squid Hairclip is received after completing the first boss challenge.
