Red 3-Straps

The Red 3-Straps are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, they are a 1-star item produced by Splash Mob and come with the primary ability Ink Resistance Up. They can be purchased from Shrimp Kicks for  700.

In Splatoon 2, they are a 1-star item produced by Splash Mob and come with the primary ability Ink Resistance Up. They can be purchased from Shella Fresh for  1,400 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  3,500.

Appearance

The Strapping Reds are a pair of flattish shoes with three thick Velcro straps instead of laces and short, blue-gray socks worn underneath. They are mostly red, with a white stripe toward the bottom and a white zig-zag pattern on both sides. On the topmost strap is the Splash Mob logo in white. The sole has a red stripe going around the entire shoe.

Abilities

The Red 3-Straps come with Ink Resistance Up as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Shoes, prevents the wearer from also having Bomb Sniffer or Stealth Jump. As a 1-star item, the Red 3-Straps come with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since they are made by the Splash Mob gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill their secondary ability slot.

• The Strapping Reds are tied with the Neon Sea Slugs for cheapest gear with Ink Resistance Up in Splatoon.
