Striped Beanie

The Striped Beanie is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Opening Gambit. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for  1,500.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Opening Gambit. It can be purchased from Headspace for  900 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  2,250.

Appearance

The Striped Beanie is a simple knit hat that changes color based on that of the wearer's Ink, with four horizontal white stripes.

Abilities

The Striped Beanie comes with Opening Gambit as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Last-Ditch Effort, or Tenacity. As a 2-star item, the Striped Beanie comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Striped Beanie comes with Opening Gambit as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Last-Ditch Effort, or Tenacity. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Striped Beanie comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slot.
