etymology page

I noticed that Wet Floor have an etymology page for the origins of their member's names, which lead me to think about introducing that to other bands, as it occurred to me that "Jawn" is possibly a play on Jaws... Will this be a site-wide addition, or would that go in the Trivia section? Astrozei (talk) 22:03, 23 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm pretty sure it's a pun on the name "Sean," which is of Celtic origin (this band is Celtic based) and jaws, like you said. Sean + Jaw = Jawn. yoop yoop (talk) 17:52, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Finn's gender (I know, I'm sorry.)

I noticed that the only source for Finn's gender is a fan translation... I checked it against the original, and as far as I can tell, the word used in Japanese was gender neutral. (It's used slightly more often with females, but can refer to males as well. Even so, it being from what is canonically another character's drunken ramblings makes this seem dubious at best. You or I may not like it, but "Man mistaken for attractive woman" is a very common gag, and considering there are a handful of things that point moreso to Finn being male, I would not put it past the writers.)

All that said, should Finn's gender be marked as unknown again? Hopefully this doesn't cause a fuss. I have no stake in the matter either way, only a commitment to accuracy.

I agree. Arceusgjengen (talk) 19:12, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I agree. While Beika almost certainly thinks Finn is a woman and this is worth noting, that has no bearing on whether or not Finn is actually a woman. (They are not acquainted.)
In fact, the person who (rightfully) corrected the referenced fan translation to include the bit about Finn's gender in the first place has themselves stated that Finn's gender has not yet been officially confirmed. I think people's personal interpretations are wonderful (and the information we have been given is ambiguous!) but I think it would be best if the wiki refrained from making explicit statements before official confirmation. Finn Feeder's variety

I'm pretty sure Finn Feeder is a crowntail betta. her hair has some resemblance to the fish's fins. I'm not sure if this is worth adding or if there's a variety more close to her's, so lmk what you think!! RotM Icon Frye.png Squidcat (talk) 22:52, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
