Page Name

Should this page be renamed to Craig Cuttlefish? I'm not sure, since he was always Cap'n Cuttlefish in the first two, but I guess he's not the captain anymore. 𝕎𝕠𝕠𝕞𝕪𝔾𝕚𝕣𝕝𝟠𝟝 (talk) 18:27, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, the og cap'n cuttlefish was first announced as cap'n cuttlefish. Tbh I'm confused too, although true fans know he's a Craig. (I actually have no idea what I just said whatsoever.) Glosxy (talk) 20:32, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's been over a year but I feel like this is worth bringing up again. He's consistently just called "Cuttlefish" in Splatoon 3 and is also often called this as a shorthand in the first two games, so wouldn't it make a better title? The solution here isn't as easy as with Agent 3 (Splatoon) because in this case there's no other character to distinguish from, so identifiers are off the table. Anyone? Hewer (talk · contributions) 21:19, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, now that Acht has been moved immediately upon the reveal of the name, I feel even more sure we should move this page to Cuttlefish. Hewer (talk · contributions) 07:14, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
"Cap'n Cuttlefish" implies he is a captain but he passed the torch to old Agent 3/the Captain, now Craig is no longer a captain, so I think renaming the page to his full name, Craig Cuttlefish is a okay choice PurrpleKittyCat (talk) 15:24, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The problem with using "Craig Cuttlefish" is that he's almost never called that, it's his username in the Octo Expansion and was referenced maybe once or twice in Splatoon 3 and that's it. Just "Cuttlefish" is better because, again, he's called that consistently in 3 and quite often as a shorthand in the first two games. The reason Acht got moved instantly is that we had no name before. Before the Side Order trailer, we only had their pseudonym or stage name. For recurring characters with different names or ways to refer to them in the series it is not as clear when a page should be moved.   Perfectionist   (talk) 23:37, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

After Splatoon 3 Story Mode

Can someone add in Cap'n Cuttlefish's current form (a permanent squid)? Spring Sprinkle Princess (talk) 05:04, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I added that he looks like a squid now. I removed the part about his species being changed since he is probably still an Inkling, just permanently in squid form.  GX_64 (talk)  05:55, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Atarime Yoshio

I think Yoshio may be a play on Shiokarāzu, the Japanese name for the Squid Sisters. I would add this myself but the new Inkipedia editing process is too confusing for me now. ASARIDEAD (talk) 06:10, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Age?

Are we 100% sure on the Cap'n's age? I'm pretty sure that before it was edited to what it is now, it was 128 in S1, and 130 in S2. What I'm asking is, should we go off of confirmed appearances (times when he's appeared), or ages at each release frame (age in S1, age in S2, age in S3)?
