Missing cover art?

Damp Socks has been represented by the artwork rather than the proper cover art which is on the Off the Hook page. Sunken Scroll 22 also confirms that that cover art is in fact for Damp Socks, so why is it nowhere to be found here? NotOnepu (talk) 03:52, 29 December 2022 (UTC)

It looks great it's just the cover for the album only has Off the Hook. The original file contains all of the band members. You might want to put the original file back in the infobox. Then move the cover for the album in the gallery. Oddlilgoof (chat) 05:20, 29 December 2022 (UTC)

I was thinking that the cover of the album only used Off the Hook as a cover to get higher ratings. In the artwork of all the Damp Socks members Pearl and Marina have the same outfits from the album cover. The outfits could just be their new regular look or their Damp Socks look. Huge information from an in-universe intervew

I still haven't found the full Big Man + Marina interview , but I have found pieces, and a pretty major piece of info from it is that Pearl actually ended up ghosting Marina for a while over clashing feelings on their music.

"実は音楽的に衝突して、センパイが出て行ってしまったこともあったんですが……。"

"To be honest, there was a point where we has a musical clash, and Senpai ended up leaving..."

It's 10pm as I'm seeing this, so I'm not up to the task of translating the entire thing this very second, but I can give a summary, and some snippets:

"全然連絡つかなくて、もうすっごく心配したんですよ！ワタシは音楽活動さえできれば幸せだったんですが、センパイは物足りなさ感じていたみたいです。ある意味テンタはもう世界を獲ってしまった、天井が見えてしまったと。"

"I couldn't contact her at all, and soon I was extremely worried! I was happy just to be able to make music, but it seems like Senpai felt unsatisfied. In a sense, Off the Hook had already taken the world by storm, and the ceiling was coming into sight."

after which Marina goes into how, while she was missing, Pearl was focusing on rock music, which is what she (Pearl) originally wanted to do, doing nothing but digging through video sites (presumably for up-and-coming rock bands to swoop in on), until one day she came across Damp Socks, and suddenly messaged Marina for the first time since she left, telling her the two of them were going to join Damp Socks together.

Other things are said, of course, but this is just the most important information.

Nice find, and nice work! That information definitely belongs on this page, as well as on our pages for Pearl, Marina and Off the Hook; I would prefer you fully complete your translation before we add the information anywhere, for accuracy's sake. Of course! I should be getting my own copy of the album soon, so then I'll have the full transcript, and can try my hand at a full translation. On that note, I have a scanner, should I upload scans of the interview for the album page when it arrives, or would that be too soon to post scans? potential origin for Garris' name

Garris' name might be a reference to the Common Octopus, or Octopus vulgaris. is this worth mentioning on the main page? Tons-of-ducks (talk) 15:52, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

It is imo, it really makes sense and it's a valid etymology, so it should be pointed out. Also, did anybody else notice that Garris' name has a different font than all of the others in the Splatoon Base page? Or is it just me and my phone? Spleet (talk) 20:13, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
