Weapon Demonstration Videos for Splatoon 3

Are we allowed to make short 30-second clips on switch demonstrating each weapon in the game and what it can do? If so, I'd like to make some to contribute! Just wanted to make sure it was ok first. HalfSanitized (talk) 16:03, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

We actually used to do this for S2 and S1 and those were youtube videos created by either an inkipedia user or the inkipedia youtube channel. I think it will be fine to make videos for demonstrating the weapon, but it will probably have to be longer than 30 seconds. OrderSquid38 [Talk] 17:17, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

Splatoon 1 and 2 weapon demonstrations have already been completed. S3 videos have not been added yet, but if it eventually happens then it is fine to make demonstrations for the order replicas. OrderSquid38 [Talk] 20:43, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Inkipedia es and fr

To access the sidebar on iPhone and other mobile device, you have to press the hamburger button in the top left corner. Note that the "in other languages" menu is not part of the sidebar on mobile. Should we make a countdown

We used to have a countdown for Splatfests, but it was removed to make the Main Page less cluttered. Perhaps a countdown could be implemented into the schedule templates for events. EminenceTalk 13:10, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Am I missing something? We do for Big Run Alert and Splatfest Schedule. There's not an active countdown clock of like, the seconds ticking down because generally speaking that is expensive to pull off and MediaWiki doesn't have a lot of good options when it comes to live counter sorts of things. Splatoon Stages

We have the stages for S2 and S3 on the main page but not for S1... Should we add a Main Page/S1? I would personally like it but would not be able to run it.

dark theme pt 2

Salmon run rotation displays

I think it'd be useful for the salmon run rotation display on the main page to display what grizzco/rare weapon(s) are avaible during a wildcard rotation, considering we do have access to this information. Starrynetherlan (talk) 15:07, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

Are you asking how it was made? There are tags like <splatoon3battle /> that invoke scripts to pull data from Splatoon3.ink, and use the Template:S3Schedule series of templates to display the data. Article of the day

I think that one the home page above the news article and below the splatnet section there should be an article of the day section. For those of you who don't know what an article of the day is, it's where a random article is picked out(obviously except for user pages and policy/guidance pages) and is featured for example, on 12/19/23 it could be turf war, then the next day could be the catalogue. What are your thoughts on this?

hard to see light words in dark mode

Changing Big Run & Eggstra Work rewards

Since a new reward system was added in 6.0.0, should we change the "Top %" reward tiers on the main page to Gold, Silver, Bronze, and participation? Mario369 Talk Contributions 17:43, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

For Big Run, the reward tiers were already changed from Top %. The reward tiers are not predetermined for Eggstra Work, so it should stay the same. The changes in 6.0.0 only apply to Big Runs. FancyRat 18:05, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

All files are broken (for me at least)

All the icon images for the main page are broken & don't show up - what's going on? Everything shows up as the code for the image. New favicon proposal

Hello, I'd like to suggest we update the wiki's favicon to something a little cleaner-looking and up-to-date. At first I was thinking of File:S3 Splatoon Favicon.png, but since it is used for Splatoon 3's official site, maybe it would be no good to use that? Anemoia [Talk!] 23:42, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

If by favicon you mean the logo on the tab next to the website name, I think the current one is fine. I like it, and I don't see any need for a change. weird splatfest error (sunday saturday friday in booyah base)

Weird Clam Blitz Bug

I encountered a bug yesterday dealing with the clam ball in Clam Blitz. The ball was about to expire and I picked it up right as it did. It showed the notification that it broke, but I had it. It didn't show in anyway that I had it, except that it was following me. I then threw it and it worked as normal. Has anyone else encountered this? If you have, do you know how it works? Single Player

Currently the icon on the main page has a Fuzzy Octarian as the icon for the single player modes. I think perhaps this should be switched to Pearl Drone or a Jelleton to keep the page looking up-to-date. CaleBoi25 (talk) 20:43, 6 March 2024 (UTC)

Hmm. I agree. The icon would probably look nicer with that kind of look. It would match the Side Order theme going on in the main page. Also by the way, when clicking on Single-player, all links to single player modes except the Side Order link have icons. Perhaps this should also be updated. The icons are part of signatures. There are instructions here about creating one Inkipedia:Policy/Signatures. I had a squid icon in an old version of my signature https://splatoonwiki.org/w/index.php?title=User:GX_64/Sig&oldid=453150 You can copy the code if you like. The span tags change the color of the background and text. You can remove them if you just want an icon. The   part puts a space before the name. Let me explain to everyone. In the games, in things such as trailers and other promotional material, they do in fact have names. As the yellow inkling with the Meglobraid is called VeronIKA. The male Octoling is Hiroooooo. These names aren't necessarily canon, just in promo stuff. The ones from the other games, no idea where they came from. Elevator conversations

hi im pretty new to the wiki, but has anybody else been paying attantion to the conversations in the elevator? some people skip over it but if you do enough runs Atch and Marina have some pretty intresting conversations about both being at some sort of octo trainie school, and for anybody who has played throug octo expantion Atch was down in the deepsea metro somewhere because Atch talked about hearing Pearl's yell, which was when she overpowered tarter sause's attack, could we possibly find out who was making her play the music and what if Iso was making her play, just thought also i wpould like to learn more about the octo training camp bcause i have not seen in mentioned yet in the manga (im not to far in the manga) if it will ever be mentioned, just a thought, and if you can provide me some lore i would love that, i have been playing since the first game so i could have forgoten because it's been 8 years since i played. Yeah well to answer both questions fellow employees, Mr. Grizz has not been launched into space, but instead is taking a vacation to see the moon. (Didn’t know he was qualified for that…) It turns out all messages he gives you during Grizzco are actually pre-recorded, so Mr. Grizz doesn’t even have to be at Grizzco for the company to function. We don’t know where the golden eggs are going tho… maybe Little Judd runs it? Our employer has not let us know at the moment. For the second question, we do know that the person or persons who goes under the name of “Agent 4” has and does actively work with us. The people or peoples known as “Agent 8” and “Agent (Neo) 3” also work at Grizzco, along with many of our other Splatlandian and Inkopolisian folks who work with us. I think that would be better, especially since the English version of volume 1 of Splatoon 3: Splatlands has been released. It will be similar to how there is a link to a disambiguation for Single-player. There is this disambiguation Manga, which also includes the Mellow Squid 4-Panel Comic and Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show.
