Other media
Since this page is called "References to Splatoon in other media", does that mean also references outside video games, such as TV shows and manga? Also, should the article be sorted in alfabetical order? -Hinamin (talk) 12:23, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, of course. How it would be sorted can be discussed of course. Imo we should note Smash Bros. more then just cram it in this page since they will be playable characters. - I know that other wikis such as the Mario Wiki sortes alphabetically, and it would also be easier to keep track of what references that already have been added, so you don't have to look through the whole list. I would also like to ask if descriptions mentioning kid-squid jokes are considered references or not, as it could just be a plain pun on the words? -Hinamin (talk) 14:00, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah they should be alphabetical. Also, the kid squid joke is a reference but, a simple passing by joke like that isn't notable unless it has some significance in the context it's presented in. --Raltseye prata med mej 22:54, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

I found a page about Splatoon in a book called Ready, Set, Play, about popular video games in 2017. Idk if it should be listed because I'm sure that lots of video game books mention it, but just putting it out there. :)WoomyGirl85 (talk)
Animal Crossing New Leaf's Inkwell
I hope you don't mind but under Animal Crossing, I added New Leaf as a list of media with Splatoon references for the villager Inkwell, who's whole thing is that his design is Inkling based.
