Weapons in Splatoon 3

I don't know how to edit navboxes (or whatever they're called), but can someone please add the Inkzooka to the Special Weapon Category in the Weapons in Splatoon 3 navbox? BambamOh (talk) 02:27, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Speaking of weapons, It was confirmed that Splat bombs are in Splatoon 3! I took a screenshot, but I think It'd be easier if I just linked a video of someone pointing it out. And, if you go back to the 5:13 timestamp titled Ink Bow, watch from there, and pay close attention to the inkling wielding it, you'll see that the inkling that wields the new bow and arrow weapon seems to be the one using the sub weapon, giving us a potential early kit for the bow and arrow; The bow itself, the Splat bomb, and the Inkzooka-looking special weapon! Project Splatoon 3

There are so many ideas in that fan art that there was bound to be some overlap with Nintendo's ideas. Ammo Knights

Spawn point

Nonbinary flag colors

Actually my theory for the ink colors being the way they are (and I came up with this theory even before the 3 trailer came out) is that the final fest colors for splatoon 1 were pink vs green and then the promo colors for 2 were pink and green. I figured that splatoon 3's promo colors would be a modified chaos vs order colors and they are. I just hope that there are no sexist characters in S3 due to the series being kid-friendly, and the promo colors being altered versions of Chaos vs. Order's due to S3's theme being centered around chaos. Even though hair and leggings are no longer sorted by gender, I'll still get the game anyway. There may be some boy hairstyles that can look good on girls and vice versa. Just to point out that "don't judge a book by its cover", Nintendo games are aimed at younger audiences, so they are making sure to avoid adding in inappropriate content (sexual, racist, curse words and gestures), but social media communities come up with incredibly vile fan theories from what they see, which pisses me off. I also hope we can change our avatar's species and gender if we want to like in the past games. Just sharing my thoughts. P.J. GT (talk) 17:54, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Nintendo does give some hints that the game still has its gendered characters, for example, The game puts the characters in the same order as so in the second game, and if you tap the Octoling (blue) amibo into the second game, It will give you the Octoling boy amibo. and the characters still have different bodies and different voices. About what we were talking about on the ink colors for Splatoon 3, I was thinking that the ink colors for the game are what they are because Purple and yellow are the inverse of each other, like pink and neon green are the inverse of each other, and orange and blue are, too. I was thinking of the picture of the squid sisters in front of the Eiffel tower and also what colours you can have might be a good list

I'm not sure if that picture should go here because this is about Splatoon 3, but the Eiffel Tower is shown in the picture. I think good pictures might be the more close up pictures of the weapons (The hydra splatling, the new splattershot, the E-liter, and the Gal), but they would be from the trailer instead of from twitter, if that is ok. I'm not sure what you mean by colors, and if you mean ink colors, I'm pretty sure that yellow and purple are the only colors that have been shown so far (in battle) unless I missed other colors. 2 Less Limbs?

I just saw during GG Gabriel Gaming's video about the "trailer analysis" that the Inkling in Splatsville has only two tentacles from the back, instead of four. Either they used two more tentacles for the braid or Inklings now have 8 limbs, like Octolings. dedf1sh07[talk] 17:52, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure this is because it takes 3 strings to make a braid, so they would need to use 3 tentacles. So 3 in the braid, 1 in the front, and 2 in the back, is still 6 tentacles.-Pinezapple(talk) 18:14, 5 March 2021 (UTC)

Range Blaster's range

Right after the Range Blaster performs a Squid Surge, and right when the camera angle spins around, the Range Blaster fires their weapon at the Bow, who is a little far. The range of the Range Blaster in the Splatoon 3 trailer seems irregular, as it the same painting range as an Aerospray MG. dedf1sh07[talk] 18:33, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Note that the game is still in development, so it's likely that what you're talking about was just a kink that they're fixing. If we get more gameplay showing what you saw, then it might be a good idea to list that out, but for now, I'd let it go. I don't mean to sound bossy or rude, just stating what I think. While that is a possibility, I don't think that was what Nintendo was going for, due to the sheer amount of hype people had for this game. I mean, Nintendo probably knew that everyone would be either freaking out, poggin', or fainted. While I mostly meant for that last bit to be a joke, it's also kinda true. So in Vicvillion Splatoon 3 Trailer analysis at 14:55 ( Here ) she noticed that the Blaster shot pieces through the Octoling getting shot? Should that be added to the Range Blaster page? Gear in S3

Now that we've confirmed some weapons and new abilities, next we need to move onto the gear. From the trailer, I was able to spot some returning gear, such as the golf visor, Fugu bell hat, Studio headphones, fake contacts (possibly), B-Ball jersey (home), Camo layered LS, Camo zip hoodie, Dakro Golden tee (possibly), swim goggles, N-pacer sweat, Baby jelly shirt and tie, Full moon glasses, SV925 circle shades, Gold hi-horses (possibly), and the short beanie. I got most of this from the shot of the hub, and some of these are assumptions (marked with "possibly") based on the details and glimpses I was able to catch. I'm fairly confident that everything that I just mentioned is what I claimed it to be, except for ones marked with "possibly". Hope this helps us out in the future. So I was watching a splatoon 3 trailer analysis video, and it mentioned some returning gear in splatoon 3, and it has some gear items that I missed in the trailer and in promotional images. Also, I was wrong about the baby jelly shirt and tie being in the trailer. turns out it was just the regular old shirt and tie. That aside, the gear I missed were the punk cherries, zekko long carrot tee, king jersey (possibly), red fishfry sandals, knitted hat, amber sea slug hi tops, choco clogs, snowy down boots, and turquoise kicks. That may be true, and also please don't use references as links. Instead, use the option next to the picture and signature options on the top left. You can also use brakets [[TYPE PAGENAME HERE|TYPE TEXT TO DISPLAY HERE]] . For external links, it is the same as links for Inkipedia pages except you use one bracket, type full URL, and take away this --> | (I forgot what it is called).

New Weapons unshowcased in the Splatsville Ammo Knights Store

So y'know how the inklings and the octolings's battle start poses vary

I was lookin' at pics of the spawner drones, and I saw that the octoling holding the range blaster has a different battle start pose than the other shooter weapons that we see. Looks like they're making poses more samey? Octo and Inklings using the same weapon have the same animation. The Octoling with brush in the release date trailer has the same animation as the inkling in the 2022 New Year twitter clip. Third-person shooter?

Well, we don't know for sure. Personally, I'm not so sure if a ton of what we saw WAS gameplay, including the enter animation. To me the enter animation seemed too well made to be gameplay. But for the turf war scenes, that was definitely gameplay, no doubt. WoomyMcBoomy 16:26, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

Gameplay

I think I found the special for the new E-liter...

So I looked at a promotional image (click here to see it), and I think I may have found out the special paired with the E-liter. In the background to the left of the inkzooka-weilding inkling, you can see the sloshing machine inkling , in which the tenta missiles seem to be targeting based off of direction, plus the ink colors are different. On the central platform, you can make out a red shoe, which likely belongs to the range blaster octoling (this is further supported by the fact that he was splatted by the inkzooka while on the central platform after splatting the gal octoling, which explains both absences in the shot), and plus, we confirmed that the special for the range is the killer-wail like special. In the trailer, we can see the gold dynamo weilder on a platform near our bow friend, and the fact that the machine is facing the wall likely indicates the dynamo is swimming up the wall (also quick side note; using the process of elimination and placement, I also concluded that the special for the machine is likely the killer-wail like special, too). Finally, if you look closely to the left right under the fish skeleton sign, you can make out an e-liter peeking around a wall, and based off of the ink surrounding the charger and where the missiles were launced from, I concluded that the E-liter's special is in fact the tenta missiles (sorry if I had any bad grammar there, I know that was a lot). I was reading the preorder thing for Sploon 3 on the website and I noticed something interesting about the age rating. It said cartoon violence, and then under it, users interact and ingame purchases. This was not present on 1 or 2, I checked, despite the in game posts being pretty "users interact" to me. You were right, i just checked the EShop and yep, those things are written in Sploon 3's page. The In-game purchase kinda weird for a Splatoon game, as this feature was absent in the 1 & 2. Location of Alterna

Has it been confirmed that Alterna is part of the Splatlands? The locations section currently has Alterna included as part of the Splatlands, like Splatsville. I am not sure whether Nintendo have said yet where Alterna is. I think it is quite likely that it is not part of the Splatlands, similar to how Octo Canyon is not part of Inkopolis. I had a look at the tweets from when Return of the Mammalians was announced, and I can't find anything saying that Alterna is part of the Splatlands. The only tweet I could find mentioning the location says something about how the atmosphere is different to the Splatlands. Although I am not in the decision-making position, I would support this. This is one of the more important pages, and unfortunately our uninvited guest tends to change the box at the top of the page in distasteful ways. In fact, the last time they visited, it was so bad that I'm worried that young kids might soon be seeing 18+ content at the wrong time. I think they are clicking the links on the main page, which is why Splatoon 2, Splatoon 3 and stuff like the main characters are the most targeted pages. A thing about Splatoon 3

I believe the only source for that information is the "witness the finale of this saga" (paraphrased a little I forgot how it went) line from one of the Nintendo Directs, isn't it? If you're looking to add information like that to the page, I would wait until there's a developer interview or something along those lines saying that more concretely rather than just a marketing phrase. As it stands the phrase from the direct could theoretically have been talking about just the end of RotM itself rather than the story arc of the series as a whole. In the NoA version of the 2022 Splatoon 3 Direct, RotM was mentioned as being "the epic finale of this splat-tastic saga" (presumably the Hero Mode saga), not the series itself. There was no equivalent mention of the current Hero Mode storyline concluding with RotM in the Japanese version of the Direct, which the English version was localized from. There is currently no confirmation that S3 is the last game in the series; there is no information from which we can assume one or the other way at this time.
