Thanks for noticing what I said! Or if you just saw it on your own, that's cool too. WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 20:41, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

About the bow

The name of the bow is the Splat Bow if you didn't know. XTeodor12 (talk) 21:08, 24 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ya mind changing the name of the page, and putting the real name of the weapon in the info box? WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 21:41, 24 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@XTeodor12, any source for that? Searching for 'Splat Bow' only show fan concepts for me. --AmbientDinosaurSig.pngAmbientDinosaurSigTalk.png 21:52, 24 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I made my edits based off of what Teodor said, sooooooooooooooooooooo... VeemoMcWeemo (talk) 23:07, 24 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So i found a vid talking about the combat in splat3, and it actually contained some info about the bow that we didnt know. Didn't mean to rhyme, but it was quite sublime! WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 01:19, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Are we sure the bow is an all-new class?

As we have seen from the trailer, the bow is very similar to the charger, so it's completely possible for the bow to be apart of the charger class. I don't have any social media platforms, and don't plan on getting any, so if there was a tweet confirming this to be a new weapon type, then please tell me about it. Otherwise, we should probably remove text that says that this is part of a new weapon type, and remove it from the navboxes as a whole. WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 22:01, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The Bow is a completely different class than the Charger. The bow fires three strings of ink and has a limited range, unlike chargers. dedf1sh07[talk]S2 Gear Headgear Golden Toothpick.png 22:02, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, yeah, but brushes are part of the roller class, and they're quite different from your standard roller. Not to mention blasters, too. You still have to charge the bow up, and it seems to have significant range. Just because it fires off more shots, has a shorter range, and a new design doesn't mean it's an all-new weapon type. All I'm saying is is that we should wait until we have more info on this weapon before we start making drastic changes to multiple sections and articles. WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 01:32, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Still, I highly doubt that the new Bow class will be a Charger sub-class. All sub-classes, (blasters, brushes, semi-automatic) share what the regular class is "known for". For example, regular shooters such as the Sploosh-o-Matic have an automatic fire rate, and so do blasters. Brushes are able to push the weapon across the ground, like Rollers. The Bow, however, has many traits a charger doesn't have, including multiple shots, and a completely different design. That is a good theory though, and I wouldn't be that surprised if Bows end up as a Charger sub-class. dedf1sh07[talk]S2 Gear Headgear Golden Toothpick.png 05:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Stored charge

I found a very small part of the video where the bow player appears to store their charge in the ink and jump out, but they quickly activate an inkzooka, so I’m not sure that the bow was storing the charge, it’s really difficult to tell. It’s behind the blaster, which was the main point of the scene. Heres a video

I kinda see it, yes, but it may be an error that they're currently fixing. I speculated that the bows may be a sub charger class, but I highly doubt it. If you're considering putting this onto the page, I'd wait until we have more information. Good find, though! WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 20:55, 13 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks and yeah, we shouldn’t add anything unless we’re pretty sure of it. I think though, that nintendo wouldn’t directly showcase an error or glitch in their trailer, as I’m certain they spent hours making and staring at, its not like they would’ve missed it either.-Pinezapple(talk) 00:06, 14 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Good point, but don't rule out the fact that this may be an error. From what we've seen from promotional images and the trailer, I'd say that they've been working on this for roughly 5 to 6 months. There's still a lot of stuff they need to do. But until we have more information, it's best to leave things as they are. WoomyMcBoomy (talk) 02:19, 14 March 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It could also be some thing that would be in a global testfire type thing but removed later Sproing (talk) 01:47, 8 May 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Something interesting...

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but y'know how the brand new weapon type for splatoon 2 was the dualies, which consisted of two guns firing at once, and the brand new weapon type for splatoon 3 is the bow, which can fire 3 shots at once? It seems to me like the weapon types are corresponding with the games' number in the series. Should we put this in any articles, or just leave it out? WoomyMcBoomyWoomy.png 18:03, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's probably a coincidence, if Splatoon 4 (if it ever comes out) has a new weapon class that fires 4 shots, then we should probably include in the Trivia section, but for now, let's leave it out. dedf1sh07[talk] 19:01, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
