The Tenya OctoReds are a pair of shoes in Splatoon 3.

They are a 1-star item produced by Tentatek and come with the primary ability Quick Respawn. They can be purchased from Crush Station for Cash 2,900 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for Cash 5,800.

Appearance

The Tenya OctoReds are a pair of large thick red basketball shoes. The trainers are mostly made of a bright-red suede material and wrapped around with two large black straps attached to the midsole, encompassing the shoe's whole width. There is also a third strap, which is much smaller and attached to the tongue's inner side and leaping over it. It also has a Tentatek writing engraved on it. The collar consists of a pad featuring yet another strap with a black buckle baring a number 8. Unlike the other three, it has an adhesive toggle. The collar is rounded on the ends and appears to be bound with the tongue via a black foam, which acts as an insole and a frame for the collar. A cherry heel tab is also present, supporting the wearer's calfs. The outer sides posses a golden grafitti, possibly a signature. The soles are black and fitted into a smooth black midsole, with addition of mutliple pale red elements. On the tongue of the shoe a beige Tentatek logo is shown.

Abilities

The Tenya OctoReds come with Quick Respawn as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 1-star item, the Tenya OctoReds come with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of them from Crush Station for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since they are made by the Tentatek gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill their secondary ability slot.
