The Traditional Headband is headgear in the Splatoon series.

It is a 2-star item produced by Famitsu and comes with the primary ability Comeback. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for Cash 1,600.

Appearance

The Traditional Headband is a thick white headband in the style of hachimaki. It is made of rope or twisted cloth and is tied in a knot, the placement of which differs slightly based on the wearer's gender. If worn by a male, the knot is on the right side of the forehead, but if worn by a female, it is just behind the right ear.

Abilities

The Traditional Headband comes with Comeback as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Last-Ditch Effort, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. As a 2-star item, the Traditional Headband comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Famitsu gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

  • According to the original outfit design, only male Inklings were to wear the headband, with females wearing a paper hat.
  • In Splatoon 3, Shiver's headband has a very similar appearance to the Traditional Headband.
