Minifest is a near-monthly event on my Twitch channel as a way to try and keep the excitement of Splatfest going for the rest of the life of Splatoon 2.
Minifests are not held during months that Nintendo has official Splatfests.
Minifest format
WHEN?
One Saturday night per month, 20:00-00:00 ET
HOW DO WE VOTE?
Voting opens 1 week before Minifest on the #minifest-voting channel on my Discord. The channel will be visible the day voting opens, and you vote simply by stating your vote in the channel. Your Discord team roles will be assigned manually.
GEAR RULES
Splatfest Tee Replica MUST be worn during Minifest. If a team has a member not wearing the Tee, that match will be forfeited by that team. If the same player fails to wear the Tee for a second match, said player will be ejected from the Minifest.

ROSTER REQUIREMENTS
Each team must have at least 2 players for Minifest to commence. If a team has less than 4 players, matches will be either 3v3s or 2v2s.
WAITING PLAYERS ROTATION RULE
If a roster has more players than can play in a match, a rotation rule will be in effect. The losing team swaps out their bottom-ranked player(s). The winning team swaps out their top-ranked player(s). Rank will be a formula of [POINTS] + 100([SPLATS]). This gives all players from a team a chance to play, and rotates the teams through a variety of skill levels.
5-10 in rotation: 1 player rotates out
11-20: 2 players
20-30: 3 players
30+: all players
DISCONNECTION RULE
If a team suffers a disconnected player that results in an imbalanced match, the match won't count unless the disadvantaged team wins. Disconnected players will have a rank score of 0 for rotation purposes. Players who disconnect more than 5 times will be ejected from the Minifest.
SCORING
At the conclusion of the Minifest at Midnight ET, scoring will be done using the Splatoon 1 format: [POPULAR VOTE %] + 6([WIN %])
2X AND 5X MATCHES
Before each match, I will roll a d20. If the result is 15-19, the match will count for 2 wins. If the result is 20, the match will count for 5 wins!
CATCHUP MATCHES
Starting 2021, if the d20 roll is 1, the team behind on matches has a chance to tie it up if they win, no matter how far behind they are. If the leading team wins, it simply counts as one win.
PRIZES
Prizes will be available for the winning team!
