Japanese Splatfest Barnsquids

You shouldn't have to manually put together Barnsquids! That's just sad. Even though Inkpedia is primarily English-speaking, we should still have Barnsquids for the Japanese Splatfests... Can I go ahead and use yours? You did such a nice job on them, they're so cute! I might tweak the colors a little to make them closer to the Ink used, but otherwise they'd be the same. ⭐️ --Bzeep! talk 23:42, 1 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hmm, perhaps, Japanese splatfests Barnsquids are used only for me, at this time. But, in nearly future, other Japanese people could join the Inkipedia. For these people, we should have Formal Japanese Splatfests Barnsquids. I was too hasty. I made them carelessly, they are not actual splatfests colors. I really appreciate it, please make them formal and real. --Azoth (talk) 00:05, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh, and, we should think the Counterparts of them. Bread, Green Tanuki, Milk Tea, Ant, and Boke.--Azoth (talk) 00:10, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay, cool! I'll recolor the ones you made and do the Bread, Tanuki, Milk Tea, Ant, and Boke ones. --Bzeep! talk 00:21, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks! Hm... They are realy rough and made carelessly, especially Red Fox one. if you want, you can makeover them completely.--Azoth (talk) 00:31, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, the Red Fox one could use a better-looking うどん tag, but the little items on the others are good! I especially like the violin. --Bzeep! talk 01:16, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay, I did it! You can use Template:barnsquids for them now. I'll add them all to the main Barnsquids page once I've done the other five. --Bzeep! talk 02:14, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I thank you very much! they got real, more cool and more cute! I'm glad! I'm sorry about my poor English vocabulary can't tell you haw I glad, I'm very glad!--Azoth (talk) 08:40, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Aahh you're welcome! They're were fun to do. I'll be sure to credit you when I put them in the Barnsquids page. ☺️ --Bzeep! talk 01:04, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
And then, I made the counterpart of them for test, how do you think? I picked up the actual colors of splatfests. perhaps needs some tweaks, or there are other ways to make them. They are still rough.--Azoth (talk) 14:19, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ooo, those look good! I'll just make them transparent (and maybe put a little black border around Ant's books like I did with Tsukkomi's fan) and put them in the template! --Bzeep! talk 16:08, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
And, It will be needed soon. Barnsquid Octopus Template. It going to get colored. And, I wonder if it is better to decorate this with something. That decides also Team Squid Barnsquid. Going to be a just colored Barnsquid template or not.--Azoth (talk) 20:21, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh cool! And it's high-quality, too! It'll have to be magenta-colored for the Splatfest Barnsquid (or.. Barn-Octopus), but we might as well keep the blank template. It might be needed again sometime. 😄
As for decorations, I'm going to see if I can put the hats from the promo image on them. It may turn out ugly. Or it may not. We shall see...
--Bzeep! talk 20:36, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
From that Squid girl (メル・スー) and Octopus Girl (ロリータコ). It is one of the good ways. I thought put soucers under them. yes, we have enough time to think. till the splatfest begins.--Azoth (talk) 20:59, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I made some trial-made things. But I worry about メル・スー and ロリータコ are Kura corporation's official characters. They are copyrighted. Perhaps we can't use their design for Barnsquids.--Azoth (talk) 23:12, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think it's okay to. I mean, the Autobots and Decepticons are copyrighted, and those are fine to use, it seems.
Here's what I got. If the actual colors used turn out to be different, it's easy to fix.

--Bzeep! talk 02:40, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Kura corporation's character licensee page for business http://www.kura-corpo.co.jp/mutenmaru/license/ Perhaps need a contact to get the permission. I'll call them next monday. --Azoth (talk) 03:11, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
TBH, I think it's "Squid Sushi vs Octopus Sushi", not "メル・スー vs ロリータコ". So, I prefer the decorations are based on sushi. But, we shall try in a variety of ways. I'm going to call Kura corporation to ask the permission. メル・スー and ロリータコ tell us "It's 6th Japanese Splatfest's Barnsquid" enough. --Azoth (talk) 03:58, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
My thought, decorate with a soucer. But they even are somewhat elusive in appearance. I think they are not so good. Too simple. I think they must tell us "It's sushi showdown" more straightly. --Azoth (talk) 04:15, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
TestBarnsquidTeamSquid01.pngTestBarnsquidOctopus01.png
We could just go the usual way and have them holding squid and octopus sushi. That's pretty safe. :b --Bzeep! talk 17:26, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
We have also other ways. for example, decoration based on Octolings for Octopus. We have enough time to think and make them better. Squid vs Octopus, in other words, Inklings vs Octolings.--Azoth (talk) 18:37, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmmmmm.... this is a tough decision... Ooo I know! I'll put it to a vote on the Ink Pump. See which idea people like the best. --Bzeep! talk 19:29, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
SplatoonJP twitter said, "It's a symbolic theme of Splatoon." It seems to need more people's opinions.--Azoth (talk) 19:36, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I made a call for Kura Corporation about that. Their answers are in summary, they don't hope us to use their characters and designs without the License. Personal use of the non-commercial purpose is not necessarily. But, Inkipedia is a website with over 260,000 views (top page) in about 2 month. They said "We don't think it is a kind of personal use." Ummmmmmm....--Azoth (talk) 11:41, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmmm...might be better to use the second designs just in case then. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 12:12, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Actually, they didn't insist on "get our License!" nor "Don't use our characters!". Probably their words just means "We worry about a trouble to our intellectual property." In fact, Kura's character business is vigorous. hm. Opinions in Ink pump say "Good Impressiveness is Good.", I agree.--Azoth (talk) 12:24, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
In that case, it sounds okay, but it is better to be safe about it than have issues later if Kura is iffy on it. Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 12:37, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Umm... メル・スー and ロリータコ are genuine characters to appear in Kura corporation's official cartoons. Yes they are distinctive and cute enough to be good Barnsquids. because based on Kura's business, their commerce. Ummmm.--Azoth (talk) 13:26, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
So what do you think? Should we stick with メル・スー and ロリータコ, or try and make one of the other ideas work? :b --Bzeep! talk 23:48, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There is no need to finish making them till the 6th Japanese Splatfest Starts. We can't be too careful. We can try to think other ideas. honestly, I think your idea and design is good. Opinions in Inkpump guarantee that. If there is no other good idea, we can use the Barnsquids you made.--Azoth (talk) 00:50, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Trial Made

Splatfest Stats

You don't have to if you don't want to, but I think you should add a Splatfest Stats section on your profile, kinda like mine. Just a suggestion, though. :) --Sigma talk 23:11, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I tried to make my own Splatfest Statistics. It looks nice! thanks for your suggestion!--Azoth (talk) 02:14, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hey, I don't know if I can tonight, but if you'd want, I could add Splatfest Eternal Girl images to your profile. I have some in my profile, just with the North American themes. Also, if you do want them, it'd be helpful if you gave me the size of the image you want (Ex: 1025 pixels by 585 pixels). --Sigma talk 01:32, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I didn't take my own Screen Shots of the Eternal Girls images. even past splatfests. So, my own Eternal Girl pictures don't exist, (´・ω・`)--Azoth (talk) 02:08, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No, I'm saying I could get them off of like YouTube or something. Mine aren't ACTUALLY screenshots from my game either. --Sigma talk 02:22, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
W-wait what? But-- All this time, I-- I really thought... 😭😭😭😭 --Bzeep! talk 02:37, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
hm, I would like to decorate my user page with Screen Shots taking my own appearance. However, it can't be. Thanks for your suggestion!--Azoth (talk) 03:11, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Lol sorry Bzeep... Azoth, you sure you don't want them? I think it would look pretty cool on your profile. --Sigma talk 11:33, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Um. Perhaps same even if my own appearance or not. But, I still like to decorate with my own Screen Shots taking my own appearance.--Azoth (talk) 21:06, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The Splatfest Title bar will be in front of the inkling anyways. You'll barely be able to see the inkling itself. But I get it if you still don't want it, I just wanted to be helpful and possibly make your profile look snazzier. --Sigma talk 21:09, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I know your suggestion is based on your kindness. Thanks. I want to decorate proudly with my own appearance holding my E-Liter 3K in Pictures. I used just only my E-liter 3K on the way to Eternal Girl during Splatfests. Perhaps, the weapon the Inklings holding will barely be able to see. Especially Chargers.--Azoth (talk) 21:29, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
So, how about I try and upload some pictures and if you aren't crazy about 'em, you don't hafta use them. 'Kay? --Sigma talk 21:36, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hm... I used Krak-on roller in rice team, Splash-0-matic in Red Fox team, 96 gal deco in Lemon Tea team, Krak-on roller in Grasshopper team, E-Liter 3K in tsukkomi team, E-Liter 3K in Octopus team.--Azoth (talk) 22:12, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, It can see the Level... ummmmmmm,--Azoth (talk) 22:27, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't think I can get the exact weapons or levels. Just lemme experiment with this, that alright? --Sigma talk 23:05, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I see.--Azoth (talk) 23:14, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
So, I just uploaded a Team Rice pic. I couldn't find the Krak-On Splat Roller, but I did find one with the Inkbrush. Also, the user's level is 20. Would that do? Or should I keep looking? --Sigma talk 23:14, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I feel thanks for your favor. However, my crusty heart still feels "It's other person's Screenshot." I say again, thanks for your kindness and favor.--Azoth (talk) 23:29, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
So, it's a definite no? I think it would look pretty sweet on your profile (mainly since Japan has the best color schemes with their Splatfests), but I get it if you don't want it. --Sigma talk 23:31, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I realized that, I don't want to decorate my user page with other person's screenshot.--Azoth (talk) 23:36, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Gotcha. Welp, I guess I'll add a "Splatfest I Would Have Picked" section in my profile and use them there. --Sigma talk 23:40, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I thought, "It's the Screenshot when I got eternal girl". and I want to do so with actual my own appearance. Just my heart's matter. Your screenshot actually looks very nice. I hope it were my own appearance.--Azoth (talk) 23:46, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I get it. If you don't want them, then you don't need to use them. --Sigma talk 00:04, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Um... What are Eternal Rice Boy, Eternal Red Fox Boy, Eternal Milk Tea Boy, Eternal Grasshopper Boy, Eternal Boke Boy, and Eternal Octopus Boy in Splatoon? I'm gonna put it in my profile. --Sigma talk 00:15, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
OK. Here it is.--Azoth (talk) 00:34, 12 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Squid/Octopus Barnsquids!

I totally forgot about them... do you think it's okay to go ahead and use the ones I made, or should I try and do something else? :y --Bzeep! talk 14:07, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ummm... nobody suggested other ideas. I didn't think that was only Japanese player's matter and I handed it off, as a matter with all users of Inkipedia. but it might seem they thought it was only Japanese player's matter. It's natural they don't care so much about something they don't use. well, It seems still I should think about it. --Azoth (talk) 16:38, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If it's my business, I still think using メル・スー and ロリータコ's design is unfavorable due to Kura's answer. (I thought they could decide about it without my opinion if they thought it was a matter with all users of Inkipedia. But It seems not.)--Azoth (talk) 17:00, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay, I'll try and come up with something else. :B --Bzeep! talk 17:08, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sorry about it. I think, when some problems happen, It seems be my responsibility unless they think it's inkipedia's matter. I would choose safe way. It doesn't mean your creations are bad.--Azoth (talk) 17:14, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Blackbelly name in Japanese

I'm curious as of why you reverted my edit, since it's the same name appearing on http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/agmj/stage/index.html, and the current name is wrong.

Nintendo seems doesn't thoroughly care about Variable-width encoding for that "B". According other source, they use single byte characters, like this. http://tokaigi.jp/gp/game/splatoon.html According Inkipedia's policy, for English speakers, I think it's better not using Variable-width encoding. http://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Inkipedia:Policy/Manual_of_Style#English_.28American.29 --Azoth (talk) 16:28, 22 November 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Congratulations on being November 2015's Inkling of the Month! If you'd like, we'd appreciate a short acceptance speech to add to the aforelinked page.

Countdown

Seems neither of us were right Nintendo UK tweeted 04:00GMT and GMT and UTC are the same, making it 04:00 UTC. Feel free to change it. Luke (talk) 20:25, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh Nintendo. "This Splatfest will also happen simultaneously around the world." It means "not necessarily same time among all regions." SO, we should separate the countdown.--Azoth (talk) 20:33, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Dang. After what everyone said I just assumed it was all the same. I'll go get the countdowns separated. Luke (talk) 20:37, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I was totally believing that all regions would start in sametime. mmm. "the Splatfes will start in 2days and 0 hour 17 minutes for Japan. it means 2016/02/19 21:00 UTC." it's definately right. but not for EU at least. and America...--Azoth (talk) 20:43, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
http://splatoon.nintendo.com/news/article/?id=73 For NA, It's February 19 at 10:00 PM PT to February 20 at 10:00 PM PT. It means, 20 Feb 06:00 UTC, I guess.--Azoth (talk) 20:51, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I've changed everything, and hopefully it is correct. Luke (talk) 20:53, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
