On the influence of Run Speed Up upon sloshers & co.

Thank you for all the hard work that you put into your graphs but is there a reason why the graph showing the influence of Run Speed Up on various weapons does not include the sloshers? This includes the Tri-Sloshers and Sloshing Machines. Around where would they appear (approx.) on your Run Speed graph? Thanks. ItchyOliver (talk) 14:12, 3 August 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Run Speed Up does not affect sloshers, meaning you will always move the same speed while sloshing. You can see the slosher run speed as the mobility stat at Main Weapon#Stats. Heddy (talk) 00:31, 5 August 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Charts

Pssst thanks for making those ability graphs! Sure helps visualize things. ✌️ --Bzeep! talk 11:59, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yes, thanks for those! It's super helpful to be able to compare the weapons all in once place, and it's awesome that you're keeping them up to date. If I can make requests, it would be nice to see damage compared in terms of DPS and time-to-splat, and ink efficiency in terms of both damage and turf coverage. Also, it would be nice to highlight important thresholds, for instance, the 24.9, 33.3, and 49.9 damage lines on the Defense Up graph. It would also be neat if you could come up with a way of visualizing how Ink Saver (Main) and Ink Recovery interact (assuming only firing your main weapon), and the same for Quick Respawn and Quick Super Jump (assuming you only and always Super Jump after respawning). --MindWanderer (talk) 22:28, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Splatoon Files?

Hey, Heddy! In the Ink Pump page, you referenced that you searched the Splatoon files to find stats for the Rainmaker weapon. Since you have access to their files, I wanted to ask: is there a way to remove the music files, disable them, or replace them with silence to remove music? I might need that for later use in my videos, especially the Rainmaker weapon demo. Please let me know. :) /Syl (talk) 18:26, 6 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yup, take a peek. It's also been done by a. mibu - I'd ask them if you need help, since uh... they speak English, haha. 😅 --Bzeep! talk 00:04, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That actually looks pretty good. Any way to run Splatoon through an emulator offline? If that's possible, I'd probably re-recording my videos come the next balancing update. Possibly use an Octoling character and try to hack in the Rainmaker into the training map. I wouldn't play online, of course. Just a thought to spruce up my videos.
/Syl (talk) 00:39, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, they weren't emulating, that was just showing their TV screen. :b There is a Wii U emulator, but it's.. "highly experimental." --Bzeep! talk 00:45, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
6 GB ram? That's for shrimp. Is it okay if I start a discussion on your page or email you to avoid bugging Heddy with our conversation?
/Syl (talk) 00:47, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Heh sure, wherever you wanna take it. Warning though, I don't know jack about emulation or Wii U modding. --Bzeep! talk 01:39, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's definitely possible to mess with the music. The files are in BFSTM format, which this tool can covert to and from. As for obtaining the game's files, there are no public tools that will easily dump splatoon, so you will have to find someone else's dump. To play the game after you modify the files, you need an exploited Wii U, and Loadiine. This page contains all there is to know about exploiting the Wii U. Thanks for the reply! I've already started working on it, so hopefully it'll be a lot easier to RAM hack and obtain all weapons, as well as properly provide a demo for the Inkzooka and Rainmaker. But one of my earlier questions still stands: do you think that using an Octoling instead of Inkling in my weapon demos would be better, or should I keep that untouched?
/Syl (talk) 11:05, 7 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
lol, use what you want! I guess Octolings would be cooler. Heddy (talk) 09:33, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Patroller

Hey Heddy! With your approval, me and the other administrators would like to make you a Patroller. Patrollers are experienced and trusted editors whose own edits are automatically marked as patrolled, which helps alleviate our patrol backlog. In addition, Patrollers can help patrol other editors' edits, but patrolling isn't required - only if you wish! Let me know if you're cool with this and I'll be happy to promote you. Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk 19:16, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yes, I accept. Heddy (talk) 21:14, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Done, thanks! I've added your name to the list of Patrollers; feel free to add any more details if you'd like. ~SuperHamster Talk 22:07, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks for a new Topic!

Thanks for adding in the Rainmaker Shield Topic! Ever since I found out it was possible to get splatted by the Rainmaker Shield, I've jumped into looking for it and found no luck, but now you created it today. I just wanted to say thank you!
