Demonstration Video Feedback
Hi, your demonstrations are great! However, there seems to be an issue with the way audio is recorded. Sounds coming from the left and right are clear, but sounds coming from the center (like when you shoot the gun or throw a bomb) are very quiet. Heddy (talk) 01:26, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hey, Heddy! From what I see, my program is recording the sound as the Inkling would hear it, depending on which relative direction the sound is coming from (which I assume is Splatoon's fault). Maybe it can't make the two channels work together or they cancel each other out. I'm not sure. I'll try and find a fix for it tomorrow, it's been bothering me too. I got a new computer so setting the program up again wouldn't be much of a bother. I'll make sure to fix it by my next video, if I can. Thanks for contacting me!

- Edit: After searching for a solution, it seems the problem comes from the audio setup in the Wii U. Its surround sound isn't compatible with many recording programs. I'll just switch it up to stereo tomorrow when recording and that'll hopefully fix the issue. :)

game mode demonstrations
What are you planning for these? Just making a private lobby and recording the gameplay? Or scripted to perfectly show every aspect of the mode? The competitive squad I belong to has 8 full members that could help. Tell what this involves and I'll see if they're interested. We play at 4PM-9PM PDT, so obviously we can't help you if you sleep or work during that time.
- Currently I have no time planned for it as of yet; I'm still trying to get my video editor to work as it reduces the framerate from 60FPS to 30FPS for no reason. As far as how I plan on doing it, most likely scripted, although genuine gameplay could work: I want to show a positive experience in the video to help the players feel a bit more confident about the game, sort of like SplatoonUK demonstrates gameplay in their own weapon demos. Any help with this at all would be appreciated. Just let me know if you're up to it.

Hey Syl! With your approval, me and the other administrators would like to make you a Patroller. Patrollers are experienced and trusted editors whose own edits are automatically marked as patrolled, which helps alleviate our patrol backlog. In addition, Patrollers can help patrol other editors' edits, but patrolling isn't required - only if you wish! Let me know if you're cool with this and I'll be happy to promote you. Fin
Well, I pretty much finished all needed weapon demos, and I don't have time to get to level 40 to obtain the Octoshot due to the incredibly slow leveling system (not to mention that the Octoshot is basically just a reskin of another weapon.) As such, I really have nothing left to do here. The community is well off as it is, and there are many people taking care of other things.
I've started working on a personal project now as well, and as such will not have much time to be on here. The best thing I guess I should do is resign, rather than take up an inactive Patroller slot. It's been a pleasure working here! I may come back to life when the next Splatoon game releases. Looks like I have to be back because I haven't finished demonstrating all the game modes. Might actually try and get the Octoshot, too. I'm also considering on potentially expanding on my YT and demonstrating some Overwatch too. o3o Too much free time goes a long way, doesn't it? - I'd vote, but I don't believe in the Hall of Fame. I think good work should warrant no rewards. I've done all those weapon demos and I haven't really asked anything in return. I can vote if you want me to, I don't mind. Just saying some life advice. It's good for the wiki, your work, but seeing how you took criticism, I don't want you to get disheartened in a different place where such hard work gains no reward.
