Welcome to Inkipedia, OctoseekerStringsVLA!

We're glad you decided to create an account and join us at the free, editable encyclopedia all about the Splatoon series! You are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand our coverage of the game. Here are some things to keep in mind while editing:
  • Create your user page, your own personal space to introduce yourself!
  • The Ink Pump is the place to discuss wiki-wide things, including ideas, proposals, and questions.
  • Come join us on Discord to chat or play Splatoon!
  • Sign any comments you make on discussion or talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
  • Visit the Recent Changes to see all the latest edits.
  • If you need help using and editing the wiki, MediaWiki Help is a good place to start.
  • If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask any other editors or staff members - they don't bite!

Again, welcome, and we're glad you're joining us! Sincerely, Raltseye prata med mej 14:20, 28 January 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

RE: Your Sandbox

Thanks for fixing those errors! I appreciate the help and I'll try to watch for errors more carefully when working. 🐙👍 ZBroadcast (talk) 9:17 10 July, 2019 (UTC)

Patroller?

タコパトローラー means "Octopus Patroller," right? Which is why I should be elected Patroller! Not only that, but I am an active user, with over 300 edits. So what do you think, User:Kjhf, User:Heddy, and the rest of the admins? Thank you for your consideration, “Octoseeker Violist” Meena (美奈) 19:25, 1 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm not an admin, but I'm here to tell you that you can directly request the permissions if you're feeling confident! Check out Inkipedia:Requests for Rights.
One more thing! I'm not sure if the admins will notice this message, it's always better to ask directly on their user talk page, or come to Discord and ask on #Inkipedia FunPL#0529 (talk) 19:35, 1 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you. “Octoseeker Violist” Meena (美奈) 19:00, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

RE: Patroller rights request

Hi, currently we advise for those wanting patroller rights to make a request at Inkipedia:Requests for Rights. Thanks! Heddy (talk) 13:17, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Personal category

Just a heads up that there's no real need for a category just about you. They're primarily for organisation of wiki content rather than user content. You can use your userpage or make a subpage if you want to organise your files. Thanks, Inkling luke.png Inkling talk.png 17:50, 10 December 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sorry about that. We all make mistakes. ごめんなさい. “Octoseeker Violist” Meena (美奈) 16:33, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

Individual people pages

Hey there,

Thanks a lot for all the work you've been doing on the wiki! A while ago on the Ink Pump we came to an agreement that musicians would all be contained on list pages by instrument (or potentially just one big list for those instruments with few artists) and this would also apply to the sound engineer pages you're making now. I went ahead and merged the two you created here. Please feel free to add to it. I haven't yet gotten around to merging all the musicians together but it will be happening in the future.

Additionally, images of these people should go in the Musicians category or People category, rather than making a new one.

Thanks, Inkling luke.png Inkling talk.png 22:18, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I volunteer as tribute!

I will get to that today. “Octoseeker Violist” Meena (美奈) 19:17, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Thanks so much! I've been procrastinating on it for a while so it's nice to see it being done.
We had a discussion on our Discord (please feel free to join to join in on future discussions involved with the wiki or just to talk about Splatoon!) and updated the notability policy yesterday to decide which people need coverage on the wiki since I saw you had intended to make an article on someone who was a choreography coordinator which isn't wholly necessary. Please take a look at it and if you have any suggestions regarding it you can bring them up in the Discord or the Ink Pump. Basically, if a person does not meet the notability policy, then they will not be covered on a list page, but their name will of course be included in the event pages with no other info.
Since this is a new addition to the policy we don't need to act on any existing articles straight away since you may have some feedback regarding it. Thanks again, Inkling luke.png Inkling talk.png 22:46, 5 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Is it OK to make a new template about it? The template and code are as follows:

WiiU Splatoon char 06.png
SO HAWT!!
This article about a real person would be considered notable enough for an individual article under Inkipedia’s Notability Policy.

{{notice|file=WiiU Splatoon char 06.png |filesize=60px|header=SO HAWT!!|content=This article about a '''real person''' would be considered '''notable enough''' for an '''individual article''' under Inkipedia’s '''[[inkipedia:Policy/Notability|Notability Policy]].'''}}
Best regards,

As you may have seen, your edit on the policy page was undone. In future, please consult with a member of staff before making any definitive changes to policy pages, though feel free to suggest them on the talk page of the policy. There's no real need for that template because the very existence of a page indicates that it is notable, because if it's not notable, it doesn't get covered. Thanks, and feel free to ask anything else! Inkling luke.png Inkling talk.png 22:50, 6 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I was talking about notability for individual articles, but you’re an admin, so you get to make the call.
どうもありがとうございます。

Everyone is welcome to contribute to policy after discussion, and it's a good idea to clarify notability since it's very subjective, but I don't think notice templates are the way to do it. Usually we only have notice templates to say that something is incomplete, or to warn the reader about something like leaked or unofficial information. I believe that any clarifications should be done on the policy article instead of the individual pages. Heddy (talk) 17:36, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I’m alright with that. Do you like my new signature?

The image is too big! Images in signatures should not exceed 30 pixels in height. Heddy (talk) 21:22, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sorry about that! I’ve fixed it! File:Octoseeker close up 3.jpeg エスクヰト・美奈(FemaleUser.png) 13:06, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
