Inkipedia Newsline

So I had heard about an old scrapped idea Inkipedia Newsline. I thought man me and the guys can bring this back. Is it significant for a page? We will need a lot of help amd support from the admin. --User:Prinz the overlord/Sig 21:17, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

I don't think you need an admin to get it running. I do think stories about Splatoon might be better somewhere else like amino, twitter, facebook, discord or other Splatoon communities. Gender neutral

On a lot of pages regarding agents and players, there is pronouns used such as she or he. There is no canon genders or species for the player. I was looking at the gear pages and it said "the inkling wears them," when it was S2 gear. Can someone please remind users of this--User:Prinz the overlord/Sig 12:32, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

when is it my turn? turn for what? adding poll to the main page? we are doing poll proposals and at the beginning of the month, the poll is swapped by the person in-charge (Judd). I saw Judd thing didn't really work out when Prinz wasn't really aware of it, they re-added themself to the committee and I wasn't going to argue about that. It had too much dependency on a single person to be aware of when and what to do. It has been changed to any active member of the committee can do the tasks when it is time for a poll swap. A project I'm planning on doing.

After the Mario Splatfest, I'm planning on working on Octo Canyon and Octo Expansion pages that are marked as stubs. Mainly levels and Sectors. On the down side, I won't make walkthrough videos for them because I don't have the time and money for capture-cards, so I'll leave the videos to you Shahar if you plan on them. How long do requests stay active?

How long do requests stay active before it is archived? I think we need to address this in the RfR page. Some requests, like your's, were active for over a month before you were promoted. Also, SQUIDKID2000's RfR was not archived for two months after it was clear he would not be promoted. I think we need to have a limit on how long a RfR can be active before the request is closed. If you ever become a patroller, you don't have to put a flag, it's optional. But it would be nice to see everyone unified with flags. About the userboxes, I think people mistake gender and sexuality so in my honest opinion, male/female are alright. Agree with Eminence. We should assume good faith. There is no evidence of abusing multiple accounts. Having the same IP does not equal abuse, as they haven't done anything harmful on the wiki. Userboxes

Try to maybe look how other editors did it? I put them all in a table format so they are bunched together on the same line. There are other editors who put more userboxes than me so check how they did it and see how they arranged them. Shahar (talk) 19:37, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

Weapons Navbox, Infoboxes for Sub and Special Weapons in Strategy pages

Recently, I have been adding Strategy pages for individual Sub and Special weapons. Is it possible to edit the Weapons Navbox that appears on the bottom of these pages to provide navigation links to each of the Sub and Special weapon Strategy pages?

Also, while I have been using the Weapon Strategy Infobox in the Sub and Special weapons' Strategy pages, I realized that they will likely need a different type of Infobox, particularly utility Subs and non-damaging Specials, such as Ink Armor. These infoboxes have to be different from those used in the regular Sub and Special weapons' pages since Strengths and Weaknesses will be presented. DaDoc540 (talk) 18:00, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

Main Power Up effects in Weapon pages.

I have been wondering, could we add the effects of MPU to that weapon page’s infobox? A perfect example would be the Splattershot Pro with its damage increase and how much AP needed to reach it. Hi P.J. GT, There was a in discussion in [discord] about it. You could bring it up in Ink_Pump to see what others think about it. From my point of view, I think if we put a certain ability in the infobox that it might imply that it has more value than other abilities even if it has a unique effect on a certain weapon. Issue with a file.

Hey, i know i'm butting in, but on chrome, vector and timeless skins are in preferences for viewing, and i believe updating the cache is either updating your computer or going to the More button at the top of the page, and pressing Clear Cache. Squid400 (talk) 20:03, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

New page idea. Can I go through with it?

So recently, I had the idea of making a new community page for discussing theories and lore. I know we have a discord for that, but I feel like that the page will stop false info from getting on to other pages, as well as being a place for people who dont have discord to discuss this kinda stuff. I made a discussion about it on the ink pump, so please go check that out. I even made one of those template box things for it (you know, like the future one). We have rumors and leaks page and its talk page, I'm personally against spreading rumors that are not confirmed or don't have a base. You could open a page in the blog namespace starting with Blog:PAGENAME for bigger discussions. I suggest keeping it to the minimum as to not draw work from the actual wiki. As you probably know, Timewip2020 suggested making a page specifically for lore, as to organize all of the loose lore bits in trivia facts and other pages. I know that we have the Sunken Scroll page, but that still doesn't discuss all of the lore. I think it's a good idea, but since this page is likely going to be a key part of this wiki, and frequently edited and visited, I wanted to get the OK on that, too. Admins don't have a better say in wiki matters than other users. Personally, I'd like to see a sketch first of how the lore page would look like if Timewip2020 has a direction of where it's going. They could make a page in userspace USERNAME/SANDBOX. That kind of page would need to have a lot of references and sources so there won't be any misinformation in there.
