Yellow Layered LS

The Yellow Layered LS is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by SquidForce and comes with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. It can be purchased from Jelly Fresh for  500.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by SquidForce and comes with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. It can be purchased from Ye Olde Cloth Shoppe for  500 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  1,250.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by SquidForce and comes with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. It can be purchased from Man-o'-Wardrobe for  500 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for  1,250.

Appearance

The Yellow Layered LS consists of a dull yellow short-sleeved shirt and the gray long-sleeved shirt worn under it. On the front of the short-sleeved shirt are some Inkling letters printed in white, and on the bottom is a small purple tag with the SquidForce logo, also in white. The end of the long-sleeved shirt can just be seen poking out just below it.

Abilities

The Yellow Layered LS comes with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Yellow Layered LS comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Damage Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 2

The Yellow Layered LS comes with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Yellow Layered LS comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 3

Abilities

The Yellow Layered LS comes with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Yellow Layered LS comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slot.

Trivia

• The logo on this shirt loosely resemble the Japanese word for "squid" (いか) in hiragana, like the Splatoon version of the Basic Tee. Strangely, said logo on this shirt is unchanged in Splatoon 2, unlike the Basic Tee.
• Inkling Boy's cyan variant wears the Yellow Layered LS in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
