All the Thangs[1] is a song from the Octo Expansion.

Description

This song is played in a cutscene where the Telephone assembles the thangs into a giant blender, promising to transport Agent 8 and Cap'n Cuttlefish to the "promised land", when in reality it tricks them into walking into the blender to liquefy them.

The in-game version of the song starts with a cranking sound and screaming sounds. Then, tuba sounds and crowd chants can be heard as the Telephone assembles the giant blender. A cheer can be heard, followed by a synthesizer melody, tuba backing, and synthesizer noises similar to those from Telephone's Theme as the Telephone opens the door to the blender. As Agent 8 and Cap'n Cuttlefish prepare to enter the blender, clapping sounds can be heard, the background synthesizer is removed, and the sounds from Telephone's Theme gain an additional layer which sounds lower and has an echo effect. After they are inside the blender, the song pauses as the door closes and the rotating blade moves to the blender's cap. As the blade starts to spin, the synthesizer melody plays again, albeit in a minor key, accompanied by siren sounds. The song sounds more ominous compared to the cheery beginning. The synthesizer melody ends in a lower note. The sound effects of the in-game cutscene are baked into this version of All the Thangs. When Agent 3 bursts through the roof and destroys the blender, a brief rendition of Splattack! (Jam Session) plays, ending in a guitar chord as Agent 3 falls unconscious; this part of the theme is a separate file in-game, but is part of All the Thangs in Octotune and Nintendo Music.

The version in Octotune and Nintendo Music lacks the section before the synthesizer melody, the clapping sounds (which can be heard in-game as Agent 8 and Cap'n Cuttlefish prepare to enter the blender), and the in-game cutscene sound effects. The pause is also replaced by a much shorter trombone solo.
